I think I know why. You just want an honest opinion, and you just want them to tell you what they think, but they always agree with you, and they just support you from the sidelines, when you just wanted them to tell you what they felt like. (Now this is only an assumption, but I have a friend who's like that…)

Yeah, it's kind of like that, but also kind of not. I had a breakdown late last night and asked him of he was up. I calmed down and tried to text him I'm okay now, but he said at the same time "I'm awake, whats wrong?" And I just felt guilty, but he somehow gently nudged me into telling him what was the matter. And, normally when I do that to other friends, they just listen and go "oof" but he was trying to help me out and while I just want to vent, I just also feel really guilty for putting that all on him. He ended up helping me through it, and then our conversation ended around 2:30 when he stopped responding. I didn't think much of it, since it was late/early. But then he just texted me at like 7am (I didn't sleep) apologizing for falling asleep and asking if I was still okay. Sometimes I just want to keyboard slam him. But I really do love the guy
