Nope! We use Gravatar for profile pictures (the same thing Wordpress and some other sites use). If you sign up for an account there, you can upload a profile picture and it's automatically used for any other site that uses Gravatar (whenever the email you use for Gravatar matches the email used on another site).

We'll allow uploading profile pictures directly soon, but I'm busy coding away more exciting features than that! ;)

Oh that explains why I automatically had my Wordpress profile picture.
