@Paperok
I just uprooted basically the entire premise of my novel and turned it on its head. Fun
Tell me about some times you changed massive plot lines or things of the such in your story. why did you do it? How did it feel?

I’m planning a book called Amulet and I had to scrap a few characters and replace them. It was a pretty big change.
I did the exact same thing. The new version is virtually unrecognizable from the original nowadays, except for TWO characters' names.
Oh yeah, and the concept of two huge regions separated by a mountain range, referred to as North and South. :P
I redid an entire series… Massive overhaul that i s too big to get into… Happy I did…
@MidnightWarrior13 Why did the characters need to be replaced? if you dont mind me asking.
@Masterkey How did that come about? You dont have to go into too much detail if you dont want to.
@shurikenwolfbadass_13 The entire series? why did that happen? details?
Well the first version sucked, so I wanted to change it somehow. I kept changing and changing until I've got what I have now–something almost totally different from what it used to be. But it still retains the central trio and villains and setting in a way, so I can't really call it a different story.
Two of the main characters stayed. I changed the other characters because I wanted other fantasy species besides dragons. Before it was only dragons who have a human form and humans. I added angels and fairies and other stuff.
I scrapped 52 pages on google docs, added to James' grief, making him unstable, and killed off Ember.
Nothing much.
I literally change the plot of my story like every year lol. I have about 4 different variations of it. But I think that's because I've grown so much as a person and a writer that there's no way I would've been satisfied keeping everything the same.
Here's how I fix this. I record myself just randomly telling a random scene or plot that I want to write, but i just couldn't start it. It will sound like you are thinking too much in the beginning, but soon the ideas will just flow naturally, and everything will fall into place. (Plus it is easier just using voice typing to get things down instead of actually typing)
That's a cool idea
I just destroyed Ember's personality. YAY.
Record yourself by imitating a personality you wish you had. Then, use that for your character. (I've done that before)
No, no that's not what i meant. I fixed it and made her a new character. I've been using the "Sixteen personality" sight and making her how i imagined her to always be. I got into her head. If you need any help with getting into your character's head go to this site. Just saying.

Just ask yourself,
Is character more likely to start a conversation or stay alone?
Does character go off of own morals alone?
Will the character think of the feelings of others before trying to act?
Does your character like having open options?
1: If yes E. If no, I
2: If yes, N. If no, S
3: If yes, F. If no, T.
4: If yes, P. If no, J.
