We find a pickle ornament on my aunt's tree and whoever finds it wins a prize

We also do the hunt in the tree for Mr. Pickle, but the prize is being the first to open one of their gifts. It's fun and competitive.

Nice, I have a huge family in Texas and we rotate opening presents.

  • We go to church on Christmas Eve and then we can just chill all morning.
  • And after evening church we drive around and look at lights
  • Then we read The Night Before Christmas and the Christmas Story as a family before bed.
  • And my dog wears a Christmas dress uwu it's a red and velvety one

It started snowing today so now I’m in Christmassy mood

no

its not december yet

stop

We had snow here before the leaves even fell. This isn't a usually snowy place. 90% of the time we don't even get snow except for hail and ice in January/February.

we eat lasagna every Christmas (my mom grew up mostly in Italy so Italian cuisine is a must in our family)

That. That sounds like a good Christmas. Italian food is the best food. My mom should start doing that.

We eat an egg - bacon casserole thing. It’s better than I describe it as, I haven’t had it in a year now (we only have it once a year).
I open my cat’s gifts.
Watching Christmas movies.
Probably going out somewhere.
The entire family within the province gets together.

At our house, we don't have too many unusual traditions. The one we do have, though, is every year, we each go shopping at either dollar tree or five-below and we each get one thing for each of our siblings (Which is a pain because there's 7 of us, including me) and then we open them on Christmas Eve after church. It's kinda silly but those small little trinkets always get everyone in the Christmas spirit no matter how dumb they are, I once got a small roll of shiny tape and that thing still makes me happy whenever I see it.
