Ugh my church doesn't have a lot of money so we had to move out of our building and we're currently worshipping at the nearby campus ministry

I go to an extremely fancy, organized, formal, well-decorated church, you definitely don’t show up in jeans and a t-shirt there. There are these beautiful paintings on nearly every wall, gorgeous light fixtures hanging from the extremely high ceiling, tile floors in all sorts of patterns, it all sounds odd when I say it like this but it’s truly beautiful and I think that’s what I like about it. Not that casual churches are wrong or anything, I just really enjoy going there in nice clothing, Bowing my head in front of all this beautiful scenery, and silently praying before mass starts. It’s peaceful, and it helps me focus on prayer.

What baffles me the most is that this church was built in the 1800s in a very small town with a very small community, yet it still manages to stay strong and beautiful even after all these years. And while it's not the fanciest church in the world, (link: some image of a fancier church I found on the internet) it's still really impressive considering the size of the community.

I was raised Eastern Orthodox, I was born and semi-raised in Romania, but now I kinda don't really know? I worship on my own for now.
