Hi. I'm looking for ideas for a new universe. I especially enjoy writing fantasy and sometimes sci-fi and mystery. Have any good ones?

Good ones are for me, myself, and I.
Mwahahahahaha….
I actually don't really have any ideas that I'm not already using, tbh.
Here are some ones from the back of my mind that I don't think I'll ever have any intention of using, and if I do we would probably end up making pretty different stories so no harm no foul.
Magic is real, but it's just that it has to be passed on first. People tried figuring out all sorts of fancy spells and concoctions to work around it, but they were just making it difficult for themselves. All you need to do is take magical ingredients and cook them. No need for potions when you can just make it into a nice mead. One hitch, it's only as good as how well it's prepared. When culinary arts become the highest in demand, how will the Kingdoms of the world react?
Aliens have invaded Earth!… Well, they supposed to, but it is a very endearing planet after all. Back in the Victorian era (Time period isn't important, pick what you want), 3 Aliens with technology far beyond our own came down to Earth for a reconnaissance mission. Their goal: survey the Earth, find it's people's weaknesses, and find what makes it a worthy sell to interested parties. They had done it for over a century on multiple planets, why would this planet be harder than any other? After years of work, they knew why they would SHOULD invade Earth, the rare minerals(VERY debatable, I don't know if I would even keep this part), the great sights, and the potential gains from having these humans as slaves for a galactic empire? Immeasurable. But they'd formed friends, rivalries, and attachments to the humans and their world. They couldn't simply betray them for some profit. Well their bosses are starting to get worried, after all, they've been missing for (any amount of time here, I recommend the 1950's, but that's only because it's the easiest time for global alien curiosity) and have started sending out scouts to look for them. The original crew, now faced with the idea that their friends might be destroyed, have decided to do the one thing anyone can to try stop a galactic corporation. Trick them into thinking they're still working (or that it's a bad planet, or hell, maybe they've already taken the place over, pick your poison).
Now that I've finished typing this up, I realize Imay have done more of pitching concepts than universes, but feel free to tell me what you think!
