I get bored at work a lot, and find that it's been real fun to play here with people so far. Is there anyone who is up all night who wants to chat, or maybe even start a night-time rp?

I used to, but now I work early mornings and just tend to stay up until after my shift ^^; It's a lot easier than actually going to bed "on time".
Hahah! I know what you mean. I work 10pm-8am shifts and I'm always up until like 12-2pm. XD Kind of a mess if I'm honest.
Yep, I hear ya on that lmao. At least you're getting more than six hours in for sleep, though! gods know I can't get groceries like a normal person, but I can just go to walmart if I need to.
Ahhhh I try. XD usually I attempt to get up between 6-8, just in attempt to be a little part of the normal world, lol. It depends on the day and motivation I guess. hah It's very difficult to schedule things in town for peeps like us.
I don't even bother trying much anymore, to be honest ^^; There's not much to do in my town, so there's little to no point to do anything other than work, sleep and write. It does definitely depend on the day and motivation though. (You did mention something about an rp? Not sure if you'd be up for one, but I'm always down ^^ )
I'm a fairly introverted person, myself. XD And I get'cha with the small town stuff, there isn't a lot to do around here, kinda wish there was a bit more, even so. I mean, we don't even have our own bookstore! And hey yeah, what genre and time period do you enjoy?
Egads, no bookstore?!?! That's a travesty. And I'm fine with most genres and time periods except horror (though I'm super fond of fantasy and sci-fi), so whatever you're comfortable with is fine for me. ^^ I do have a lot of characters, so most of them slip and slide between genres. (And by that, I probably mean too many, but whoops. ^^; )
(I do have to warn you, though, I tend to get a bit wordy. ^^; )
Oh dude I love wordy. I do like fantasy, throw out a character, and I will too, and we'll sketch out a beginning story idea. :3
Most of them don't have fully fleshed out pages on here, but I'm down for using Meril (elven warlock, impulsive brat), Roul (chillax necromancer, scruffy and good-hearted), or Sammal (half-demon rogue, doesn't know how to human well). It all really depends on what sort of story you want to aim for ^^
Lesse. I have Sven Jijou(Half elf/Half dwarf who is 7 ft. tall due to a strange genetic mutation, has a dagger that flames when he bleeds), Gagan Wilson(A bastet(werecat) who was rejected by the american werewolves who killed his girlfriend), A few mershark characters and a pirate, and Scooter(The fuzzy dragon). Hm, maybe we could try a traditional type of action/adventure fantasy if you'd like?
That sounds good with me! Is there any specific plot line you'd like to try out, or place our characters could meet that you tend to use? Or we could always go with the tried and true meeting at an inn or tavern ^^;
Meeting at an inn with a tavern inside maybe? Sven is a theif and like many of his kind like shinies, I think I'll go with him since it's been forever and a half, haha. XD He's about 7' tall and is a tailed half-elf, and omygosh it's been so long I forgot he was half human, not dwarf. X3 my bad. Would you like to begin?
Also, I don't know if you have a story idea in mind, but if you do, feel free to share it!
I don't exactly have a plot line, but sven sounds like a darling! ^^ I think I'll use Sammal since they'd both have something in common (and I haven't used him in ages whoops). Gimme a few to whip something up real quick.
(oh, shoot, maybe I should give you a character description right quick since y'know, he's kind of weird looking. sammal's pretty short, about 5'5" on a good day, w curled horns and a tail almost as big as he is.)
I see a lot of shenanigans coming up, haha. What kind of tail, and how old is he? Sven has spiky red hair that stands straight on his head, Longer than average ears, very thin and bony face and frame, and wears large clothes because if he doesn't his belly will show. He always keeps a roll of twine on one side of his pants, a dagger on the right, and his fingerless leather gloves have hidden blades in the fingers. Eye color is crimson, with mahogany bordering the iris.(Sorry long description)
You're good! (though I find it kind of funny how our characters are both redheads lmao) sammals tail is almost as thick around as his waist, and completely smooth - it's more muscle and bone than anything else. his features are pretty rounded, and he's got dark red hair held back in a messy braid and gold eyes with no visible pupils or sclera. he's got some Fancy Magic Tricks up his sleeves, and is usually armed to the teeth despite not really needing to use them.
(edit: he's 26!)
The Open Cauldron was not Sammal's favourite inn. Not by a long shot. It was cramped, expensive, and filled to the brim with far too many bodies for him to be comfortable in it. Nevertheless, he persisted, heading toward the nearest available seat in the attached tavern with a petulant scowl. He was supposed to be meeting with a representative of the local Thieves' Guild, but that wasn't for another couple of hours, so he had time to learn the layout of the town in the meanwhile.
Sven looked down from a landing located directly above the Open Cauldron's bar, stretching his arms and limbering himself up after the day he had; being chased out of the next town over for thieving a ruby ring. He had tried to resist himself, but really, who would keep something so expensive on a patio table while they ate? He considered it their own fault. It was evening now, the sun outside had made the sky glow orange and pink. He pawned the ring and rented a room at this inn, parting with the gold nearly brought a tear to his eye. He tied some twine to his special dagger and made a well-aimed throw to the apple basket down below, piercing one with accuracy, and pulling it back up to snack on. Few noticed, and no one seemed to care as the inn was already crowded.
(ohhh my godd)
Sammal was half-way through ordering a drink when he had to pause, a glint of light flashing across the crowded room catching his attention. He finished a moment later, watching in a mixture of suspicion and fascination as a dagger with a bit of string tied to it was hauled up past a railing. It was too dark for him to see past that. Interesting, he supposed. Paying his due without hesitation, Sammal meandered his way onto the landing out of curiosity. It was, he supposed, one of his many flaws, but there wasn't much else to do and anyone who had the gall to snatch something in plain sight was bound to be more interesting than waiting impatiently for whoever it was to show up. Golden eyes searched the landing, absently picking out potential threats and looking for a glimpse of the dagger he'd seen earlier.
(What? CX)
He may have seen the knife glint as he searched, while the red-head wiped the blade with his shirt. He bit into the apple, enjoying putting something in his belly. He pressed a handkerchief to his mouth as some of the juice dribbled from his thin lips. "Oops." Someone was interested. He wondered if he'd run into trouble again, but he stayed put and waited, leaning against the railing and watching the commotion down below. Why were there so many shifty-looking fellows down there.
(what a power move!!)
There, across the way. Sammal glided forward, stepping around the other patrons and stopping a tails-length from the interesting party. He leant forward against the railing, sipping at his drink, before flicking his eyes toward the other. They were tall, far taller than he was used to, but that wasn't something that scared him.
"Impressive." Sammal said, keeping his voice low. He took another drink. "And dangerous. A fellow traveller?"
Sven kept his eyes trained on the crowd down below. "Yep," He confirmed, pocketing a piece of apple in his cheek as he spoke. "You too, then. Probably lots of these people." He finished the apple and dropped the core in a waste bin at the corner of the hall near them. What an interesting fellow, most don't just walk up and start a conversation with a thieving stranger. He was exceptionally unique, Sven thought, not unlike himself.
