I don't know, it just makes me happy. That and bass.

Yeah, I had a friend who played the cello very well. I was always excited to hear him play (especially once in New Mexico when he played "He's a pirate" around the campfire)

also if you can say violins suck, then I can say violas suck and they shouldn't be in orchestra
or we could take option 2 and respect all instruments, no matter your opinion or preference
