"Hey! No fair! I'm supposed to be the jackass here! Not you!" Griffin yelled after her but chuckled lightly. When he caught up to her, his hands went to his sides, waiting for the right moment to strike. "Ready to kill some people? Oops, sorry, I mean, 'cause a distraction?'"
Brella's wings flared, and her eyes began to glow. A sound like someone layed their hand on an electric keyboard filled the elevator. Crisp held fire for a couple seconds, but that was all she needed. Without word she raised her hand to signal him to stop, then took her pistol back. It too began to glow after she touched it.
"You ever seen a laser pistol cause an explosion before?" She asked through a strained grin, "Because your about to."
Crisp gets slightly worried, but doesn't question her.
"I have not. And I am curious."
The door opened, and Brella waltzed in to the control room of the station. The human crew looked up in alarm. Three guards raised their weapons, forcing Crisp and Brella back into the cover of the elevator..
Brella aimed her gun at the closest control panel, closed her eyes, and fired. The beam seemed almost comically large compare to the weapon firing it, and it took on a fierce pink glow quite unlike the weapon's usual frequency.
When the shot hit home, the room lit up into a flurry of sparks and electrical fires. Every control panel overloaded and burst, showering nearby personnel in bits of metal, glass and fire.
The unharmed workers panicked and fled. Those who had caught fire were scrambling to put themselves out. The guards had the same problem. Brella helped one of them with a piercing energy shot through the heart, leaving a clean hole behind.
Her eyes dimmed back to their usual. Her wings lost their violent flare. She felt light-headed.
"Well, w-w-wasn't that… fun?!" she stuttered, "I'm not going to lie, I d-d-dint expect that ta work."
"You ok Brella? That took a lot of power out of ya didn't it?" Crisp walks over to Brella and supports her, incase she passes out.
"Hey! No fair! I'm supposed to be the jackass here! Not you!" Griffin yelled after her but chuckled lightly. When he caught up to her, his hands went to his sides, waiting for the right moment to strike. "Ready to kill some people? Oops, sorry, I mean, 'cause a distraction?'"
"Yup. Lead the way." She told him, gesturing her hands to the door.
"Hell. Yes." Griffin walks through the doorway and open fires, feeling the rush of adrenaline. "You gonna join in? Or must I do it solo? Guards should be coming soon, so be ready."
"Yes," She replied, following right beside him. She took her handgun out, ready to shoot.
Brella took a breath, then pointed to a door in the corner of the room, "Let's go that way. There should be another elevator in there. And yeah, I'm just fine. It's a little just a little jarring, takin' in and releasing all that excess energy at once."
She let Crisp take the lead, her pistol still drawn and smoking from the blast.
"Ok! Don't want ya passing out now." Crisp pulls out his pistol and carefully goes through the door. He almost like hops into the elevator, and waits for Brella.
Brella steps in. "No explosions this time. Up this way is comms. We want this stuff intact. So check your fire."
She charges her pistol as much as she can before the door opens, and when it finally does she and Crisp step out. They're greeted by 5 guards stationed at all four corners of the room, one in the middle. A few staff members are working on a screen on the opposite wall, others have workstations scattered about.
Crisp takes aim at the guard in the middle.
"I suggest you ALL drop the weapons. No one has to be hurt here."
(Sorry for my sudden disappearance! I was off on a trip for the extended weekend.)
The guard responded by raising his own gun, pouring lethal light into the elevator and forcing Brella and Crisp into cover. Brella attempted to return fire from around the corner and failed to overcome the suppression.
"Well, can't say I didn't see that coming," she sighed as she peeked and nearly lost her nose, "Schta! Damnit. Ok, I cover, you shoot."
Brella slid out and expanded her wings, absorbing the shots, and covering as much of Crisp as she possibly could.
Crisp shoots the guards.
"I tried to be nice."
Griffin shot the inmates rapidly, some falling after the first hit, a wicked grin on his face. "Man, these guys are weak. I bet I could beat the strongest one using my bare hands, even if he had a gun!" Griffin continued to open fire until guards came, with their lazer rifles aimed at them. "Hey Kep, we have company!"
(Griffin stars riots by killing the future rioters? Somehow that makes sense….)
(YES!!! HE WILL MURDER EVERYONE (that pisses him off, and then random people he doesn't care about)!!!)
Kepler shook her head at the nickname before aiming for their legs and arms to stop their movements and to stop them from retaliating against them and headed to a public area to start a riot. "Griffin, start with finding some flares to get peoples attention and maybe some firecrackers." She directed, heading towards a store front.
One after another, Crisp takes out each guard with quick, well placed headshots. They dropped like rocks in their heavy armor, clanking as they hit the ground.
The laser rounds that had gotten through hit her wings and dissipated, their energy now inside of Brella's system, searing her bones. After the last guard was down, she let the energy vent and sighed.
"Sure!" In the midst of Griffin firing, he searches for distraction-causing things, finding two firecrackers, a noise-maker, and a flare in an emergency kit. He sets both firecrackers off and flings them to either side of the room. then ends up chucking the noisemaker in an empty cell. He waves the lit flare in the air.
"HEY! Listen up assholes! To those of you who aren't dead, congrats! I give you my sincerest of applause! Now, if you'll excuse us, it seems we've caused quite the distraction! Have fun!" Griffin walks through the exit, shooting guards as they came. "They were late to the party, sucks for them," He noted going up the way they came.
Kepler knocked a guard out that was nearby before rushing to the exit. "What do we do now?"
"We get the hell outta here and wait for them! I mean, unless you want to make more of a distraction risking yourself getting caught, which, in that case, be my guest, but I'm not following you." Griffin had a smirk still on his face as he dashed up the stairs, a gun in his right hand.
Kepler followed griffin up the stairs and took her second gun out of the holster aiming to get ready for whatever guard was around the corner.
Brella, now relaxed, got to her feet and strode up to the command console. Slipping a data chip from her jacket into the console, she started a broad-frequency transmission, playing the data and footage over and over. She made sure the name and location of the planet were clear in the message, along with a little something something she added in for Kepler's sake (you can decide what the war rally is).
