"Don't be scared. I won't hurt you. I just need some direction." Hinata smiled, then realized they probably couldn't see it under her mask. Still, this was interesting. If this was the Soul Labrinth, perhaps she could find her parents.
Tolkalee glanced over his shoulder, someone was there. A spirit? It wasn't human that was for sure. "Who are you?" he asked pulling his dagger up again. Just in case whoever it was, wasn't nice.
A sound echoed through every cubic meter of the labyrinth. “Knight A and Knight D, please be at your positions. A report from the patrol crew stated that a mortal was present in the Murder region. Please take care of them, thank you.”
The spirit in front of Hinata was still unsure that Hinata came in peace or not, but they didn’t run away.
On the other hand, the spirit Tolkalee found ran away as soon as he took out his dagger.
Hinata shivered involuntarily.
"That's not here, is it? Cuz I'm technically not mortal."
Tolkalee sighed as he watched it run away. Wait a moment that doorway hadn't been there before. This had been nothing but a long hall. He backed up keeping his dagger up. A voice that echoed around him made him jump. Murder section? he stopped to study his surroundings again. What the hell is this place? After a moment he decided to follow the spirit thing.
The spirit with Hinata shook their head saying “This is the entrance to the labyrinth, you aren’t in the labyrinth itself yet…”
(You’re currently all separated, but you could end up being together when you reach the labyrinth)
"That's good." Hinata looked around.
"What is the Soul Labyrinth, anyway?'
The spirit seemed shocked…”You came here without knowing?”
"Yea. I thought it would be fun playing hooking with my husband. Why, is that wrong?" Hinata rubbed her arm. She was cold, which meant the room was well below freezing.
Tolkalee came around a corner and watched it disappear. He sheathed his dagger and took off sprinting after it. Then he came to a screeching halt. Looking up, in front of him was a massive gateway of some kind.
The spirit with Hinata didn’t know how to react. “Why are you here then?” They asked.
The spirit Tolkalee saw opened a door in the hall and forgot to close it on the way.
"Well, I was thinking of my dead parents when this portal opened, but… I honestly don't think I could find them." Hinata sneezed again.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Usually, I don't get like this."
The spirit with Hinata offered her their sweater. Another voice echoed through the halls, the spirit turned to Hinata. “Go hide in that room, now” they pointed to a door near them.
Adara cursed. She darted into the maze and around a corner.
A spirit bumped into Adara when she walked around the corner. “Oh dear! I’m so sorry!” They exclaimed.
Adara jumped. "O-oh, you're okay." Her fire was bubbling up in her and she tried desperately not to let it show.
Hinata ducked into the room, clutching the sweater around her. Usually, she didn't fear things like this, but she had a feeling this wasn't something she could just brush off.
The room was freezing, he felt like he was in the Hitorian mountains. he zipped up his hoodie, and crossed his arms, shivering.
The spirit that bumped into Adara walked away, apologizing on the way.
On the other hand, the room Hinata was in was not one that blocked outside sounds so she could hear what was going on.
“Greetings, Sir Lachlan” the spirit said as they bowed once. “You’ve gone overtime I’m afraid…” the Sir Lachlan sighed as they said to the spirit. The spirit seemed to be in shock, looking at their pocket watch. “I’m terribly sorry sir!! Please just allow me to—“ they begged in a terrified voice before this Sir Lachlan grabbed their shoulder. “I’m sorry…but you know the rules” Sir Lachlan said with a smile before coursing a high voltage of electricity through the spirit causing them to vanish, leaving only the mask they wore. Sir Lachlan then walked back into the hallways.
Hinata peeked out of the door, seeing the mask on the ground. She picked it up and put it in her pocket, seething.
"I don't know what happened, but I highly doubt I like this Sir Lachlan."
Adara hurried down the long, twisting halls, breathing hard, panicking slightly. She glanced around. Had this place been called the Murder section?
In Tolkalee’s hallway, an unmasked figure walked in the halls ignoring everyone around them. All the spirits in the hall bowed as they passed them. “Greetings, Sir Oliver” they all said one by one.
