"I'm a god of sorts, of destruction and Ghost is a god of well… Spirits, I guess. Supernatural shit." Blair shrugged, the two men sitting down. Ghost was floating above the seat.

Jerch nodded his head in respect to the two dark spirits "Finally nice to meet some familiar folk up here." he said, wings ruffling slightly
Blair nodded in return if someone respected him, he respected them. Ghost remained quiet, watching the winged man with intrest.
Jerch returned Ghost's gaze with his own of intrigue "do you speak?" he asked "you don't have to, of course, we can sense you're energy. ask as many questions as you like." He smiled easily, eyes widening in expectation and leaned on his hand.
"I do, sometimes." Ghost answered quietly, his voice echoing through Jerch's head, mouth not moving.
Jerch's grin only widened as he heard the soft voice in his head. "ah the silent one speaks." He leaned back in his chair lazily, wings extending behind him
Blair smiled. "He likes using mind, he can't speak very well without it hurting him." He said for Ghost.
He nodded in understanding "so you act as his voice when he doesn't feel like talking." he concluded, "Are you two brothers? or something else?"
"Not in blood, but yes." Blair gave a lopsided smile, his scars shinning in the light becuase he had pushed down his hood.
"ah I see. Some say you create a bond stronger than brotherhood out on the field than with an actual family member .that's clearly evident here." He glanced around the bar before focusing back on the two "never breaks does it?"
"No, both our families are not the best." Ghost projected, patting Blair's head with his hand.
Ava, the unwanted, as her family so dubbed her unofficially, walked the streets of the city. She hadn't taken a shower in years, she hadn't bothered to ask the strangers who so kindly accepted her need of a room for the night. However, she still managed to keep up appearances, barely. Only so by thievery. Thank goodness her eighteenth birthday was yesterday, she needed something to numb the pain that surfaced, she didn't think she could hold it in much longer without help. She'd visited this tavern many times, she knew most of the people who worked there well. Walking in, she held up a silent hand in acknowledgement and sat down in the nearest seat. She noticed some new ones there, but chose to stay silent. Ava's eyes had been downcast most of the way there, but now she lifted her head and saw Calix. "Hey Calix," was all she offered as a greeting and didn't say another word.
Shay looked up as Someone else entered the tavern. She examined them subtly for a moment before realizing that it wasn't who they were looking for.
"Marble?" The boy poked the purple-eyed girl, who looked at him with a raised brow. "Why did we take this job instead of the one with the nymph?" He asked. Marble looked at Shay, who rolled her eyes. "D'var, that nymph may be sweet, but she made it clear that she doesn't like dragons. She wouldn't have trusted Marble and I to not screw it up."
"Well that's not very fair." D'var said, a small pout on his face. "You guys are really good at your job, why wouldn't she trust you just becau-" Marble put her hand over his mouth and pat his head, making him cross his arms and sigh.
Ava perked up at the conversation. She'd heard something interesting, very interesting indeed… "Dragon? Is one of you a dragon?"
"Who wants to know?" Shay snapped. She hadn't meant to be rude, but they had to be extra careful when they were doing jobs, and people asking them about being dragons always set her off. Marble shot her a look, and Shay scoffed and leaned back. "Sorry."
Marble then motioned for the girl's attention and pointed to her and Shay's horns.
Ava recoiled from the sudden remark. "I, uh, okay cool," she replied and returned to reading the book she'd brought in. "Ichi, ni, san, shi, go," she repeated to herself in a whisper, trying to recover from the sudden scare she'd had.
Jerch chuckled lightly at the two's playfulness "I'm sure many of can relate to that. so how'd you two meet, if I may ask?"
"Aw, Shay, why you do that?" D'var asked. "She was just asking." Shay shrugged. "We're here to hunt, not to be nice and answer questions that strangers have no business asking."
Marble rolled her eyes, leaning her head on her hand. "Don't sass me." Shay said.
Jerch chuckled lightly at the two's playfulness "I'm sure many of can relate to that. so how'd you two meet, if I may ask?"
"I stabbed him." Ghost shrugged as Blair laughed, nodding.
Her jaw dropped. "You stabbed him?"
"… Yes?" Ghost projected into her mind, floating above the seat a bit. "We fought each other. It's all very tragic." Blair said dramaticly.
Connor walked silently into the tavern and sat down at the bar. He couldn't pretend that he wasn't intimidated by the other patrons cloaks and armor. His new button down shirt from Target suddenly seemed much less exciting. "Hey, can I get a mint julep?" He asked the bartender.
"That doesn't seem like a good way to make friends," Ava started tentatively. But she quickly got distracted by the newcomer. He'd ordered something called a mint julep, and she'd never heard of such a thing in her entire life. "Hey there, I'm Ava, nice to meet you, and pardon me, but what's a 'mint julep'?" she asked, turning towards him.
"Stabbing is a very good way to make friends." Blair shrugged, pushing off Ghosts hand. "Stop it." He grunted as he did so.
"What do you mean? A mint julep is like a mojito with bourbon instead of tequila. Don't you guys have them around here?" The way he said it made it seem like he knew where he was, which he didn't. "Stabbing is an effective but very slow way to make friends. If the ghost of the person you killed haunts you then, boom, free friend that can never leave."
