Yama's ears pricked up at the exclamation, but instead of turning away like usual, he decided to play along and give a small wave.

Shadul tipped her head to the side as if beckoning him over. She raised her mug, hoping that would be enough of a sign.
Seeing this friendly gesture, Yama held out a finger.
"One second," he said, his voice low and gravelly. Another feature of his draconic heritage, though unsurprising to most people.
Then, turning back to his sandwich, he picked it up and threw it into the air. It landed squarely in mouth and he snapped it up like a dog would snap up a treat thrown by its owner. He then grabbed his mug of soda, chugged it, and walked over to the group's table.
"What can I do yo-UUUAGH for?" Yama burped. His eyes widened in embarrassment, so he pounded a first against his chest and meekly excused himself.
"…Yep. Not sure what I expected. Anyways, you look like an adventurer at heart, eh?" Shadul set down her mug. "Am I wrong?

Caspian smiled at the strange dragon man, trying to keep her excitement contained so she didn't interrupt their conversation. There were so many interesting species she didn't even know about, and now she was making friends with them!
Divine entered the tavern, an illusion face shifted on to make them look human. They kept the teeth for show though, they were good protection. Divine made their way over the bar, sending a smirk to the bartender before ordering a vodka.
Myrin whirled her head around as she saw a human ordering a drink at the bar. Rats! Her coworker would kill her if he realized she had bailed. She shoved her bag under the table and bolted to the bar, the doors creaking as she made her way to the counter. Hurriedly, Mylin began mixing up the drink.
Yama chuckled. "You could say that, yes. I'm kind of like those salespeople that travel the country peddling overpriced knives, except my knives are much bigger and meant for killing dragons. If anything, I hope to convince at least a few people that my wares are the best. What kind of weapon do you use? I take you for a dagger or a shortsword kind of person," Yama said, his sales pitch just loud enough so a few other nearby patrons could hear in case they were interested.
"Dagger or shortsword, eh? Sorry, kid, I'm more of a battleaxe bitch myself." She laughed raucously, slamming her fist on the table, shaking it slightly. "Alright, salesman. Here's the pitch. I'm starting a guild. I need adventurers. You interested or not? Profit gets split evenly." Shadul looked Yama up and down, trying to deduce whether or not he even looked like the questing type. "Yes or no?"
"Battleaxe, you say!" Yama said, smiling. "I think you will be satisfied with the wares I produce. Yeah, I'm in for now. I will warn you now that family obligations come first, but my parents don't call me home very often."
"Ooh! What about me?" Caspian asked the dragon-man curiously. "Can I have a weapon? I'm kinda short on stuff like that."
Divine smiled at the bartender when their drink was done. "Thank ya darlin. Anything interesting going on in this town?" They asked, sipping their drink with that stupid human mouth. Fae mouths are much easier to drink.
Myrin blushed furiously and ducked her head down. “A treasure hunting guild is looking for members at that table over there,” she replied quietly. She gestured to the group, noticing that the dragon guy was now chatting with Shadul.
"A guild you say? I haven't talked to one of those in ages. Thanks for the info." Divine stood up, sending Myrin a wink before heading over to the table she had pointed at. They pulled up a chair and sat down, crossing their legs and leaning back. "So, a Treasure hunting guild?"
Myrin tried winking back unsuccessfully before stowing her apron and racing back to the table. She was done with this job for good, she promised herself. Settling back into her scuffed wooden chair, she began to relax.
“Well, good evening to you too!” Shadul barked, although her tone was far from aggressive. “You heard right, we’re trying to scrape one together. Interested?” Her green fingers drummed the table, the grooves in the table ragged underneath.
"Well, what do you primarily use? I might be able to get you something similar in design, but with my guaranteed seal of quality!" Yama said to Caspian. "And with the treasure we find, I can buy myself some very nice materials! Then again, I might even be able to find some nice materials if we look in the right places!"
“Oh, you’re a weapons merchant?” Myrin asked curiously. “That seems like pretty good motivation for joining a treasure hunting guild. By any chance, do you happen to be in possession of any small daggers? I can trade.” Even though she hated to risk getting injured in any fights, a knife gave many opportunities to sabotage a skirmish before it even began.
"On hand right now? No," Yama said. "However, if you'll excuse me for a minute, I can get you one I think you'll enjoy." Exiting the tavern, he got down onto one knee and placed his talons onto the ground. From an outsider's perspective, he simply closed his eyes and pulled a knife from the ground. He walked back into the bar and set down a gorgeously intricate knife with a wavy flamberge blade. The handle was wrapped in red leather and the bronze guard curved gracefully upward and a ruby was set into the pommel.
"Well? It can be yours for the low, low price of 50 gold pieces," the Half-Dragon said, exercising his voice in such a way that it sounded like he was trying to downplay the exorbitant price. This was a masterfully-crafted knife for sure, but 50 gold pieces was upcharging by a significant margin.
Myrin was struck dumb by the beauty of the gorgeous blade. Her species was prone to being entranced by shiny objects, and there was a greedy gleam in her eye. But 50 gold pieces? That’s a little crazy. “Um, sir, isn’t that a bit much?” she croaked, still transfixed. Almost unconsciously, her hand drifted to the coin purse at her waist.
“Cut her some slack, eh? Seen a sturdier blade than that for 35. Who made this one?” Shadul eyed Yama suspiciously. The price was leagues higher than it needed to be. “After all, she’s a guildmate. A better price is more appropriate.”
Caspian made a mental note in her head. 50 gold is too much for a cool knife. Good to know.
"I'd like a sickle if you have any. That's really the only weapon I know how to use."
“Sickles… don’t see much of those around here, unless it’s for hunting purposes.. No, not hunting. I keep one in my house to butcher gators, chop off the head. Cool weapon, I’ve always thought.” Shadul turned her head to Caspian, nodding as she spoke.
