"You're not being very helpful."
"You're not being very helpful."
"Thanks, I get that a lot." Max chuckled.
"Ugh you're useless."
"I also get that a lot."
Mickey walked up to Max and grabbed his shirt in her fist, pulling his face close to hers. "You are being a dick."
Max blushed in surprise, "What do you want me to do then?"
"I don't know."
"Well, we can try talking to other people to see if we're alive or not?"
"Few people live around here Max," Mickey replied, still holding onto his shirt.
"We can ask them, and can you let go of my shirt?" Max asked, still blushing slightly.
Mickey thought about it. She kissed Max quickly then let go.
Max blushed even more and quickly walked towards a house.
Mickey followed. Kissing Max now felt…..different. But a good different.
Max made it to a house and knocked, hoping his face wasn't still red from the kiss.
An old lady, who Mickey had know for many years, opened the door and immediately screamed, slamming the door.
Max had put his foot in a small space, stopping her from closing the door, knowing people were going to slam doors in their faces. "Why did you scream?" He asked gently.
The lady held up a shaky finger. "You're……not……normal….." She rasped. Mickey had had a feeling that this would happen, and she had brought her 'face'. She held it up and put it onto her face, it fitting perfectly.
"What do you mean?" Max asked, slightly tilting his head to the right.
"People don't look like you! And what did you do to Mikayla?!" She screamed, seeing the porcelain face.
"I didn't do anything to Mikayla, and can you explain what you mean by 'People don't look like you'?" He asked, his foot still blocking the door from closing.
"You're not made of porcelain!"
"But we're still human beings."
"You….you can't be!"
"If we're not human beings, how can we talk to you? how can you see us?"
The old lady pushed Max and slammed the door closed, locking it.
