Grace turned her attention away from the boys, and grabbed her sketchbook, which had fallen off the table. She needed to draw again. Drawing was her coping mechanism with her visions, as she couldn't make people listen to her. So she could draw it.
Eugene stared a moment longer at them, then faced Swish with a shrug. Quietly, they both returned to their worksheets and taking notes.
Grace didn't really care if she passed college or not, she mostly just drew in classes, though some she did like ahem drawing classes. She decided to draw… hm a horse cause why not? She wasn't super familiar with horse anatomy, but she did her best at drawing a very simple sketch. Staring at it a bit, she decided she didn't like it, and going over it again lightly, she tried to shape it to how she wanted, but she couldn't get it how she wanted it.
Sawyer let out a sigh. Finally they shut up, They though, peering across the room at all the people who had been talking. Do they even care about school or not? Whatever, just ignore them. Their fingers moved in strange but hypnotizing pattern as their pencil moved across the page seemingly of its own will.
"Grace!" the teacher called out sharply, finally noticing her distance from the room. "Are you paying attention?" Grace looked up suddenly, blushing. "I-uh.. I'm sorry…" she rushed to apologize. The teacher walked over to her table to see what she was doing. Her expression softened at the sight of Grace's sketchbook. "You're a talented artist Grace. You're a smart girl too. I know you can do this, I just don't want you to waste your time in class…" she reprimanded Grace. Grace gave the teacher a half-smile as she watched her go back to the front of the classroom.
