"Well you didn't leave me much choice." Clare said as she trudged through the snow, Mira fallowing at her side with Bella tied on her back, I would offer you water but I'm a tad busy trying to keep us both from freezing to death in the snow, it's harder then it looks you know."
As you begin moving again you feel the gaze of whatever presence is out there following you. You hear something shifting in the snow and catch a glimpse of movement but whatever it is, it blends in with the white landscape. Then, appearing before you, are two bright red eyes that pierce through the white flakes. You can't see the body they're attached to but they inch closer. The eyes almost have a hypnotising quality to them but it's hard to stare for long.
Clare stopped and staied into the bright red eye's for a moment before looking away, She knew she was supposed to do something when there was danger, but what. All she wanted to do was look back at those eye's they looked so deep and pretty and wise and they looked a lot like two pools of blood like when an Angel is bleeding out on a cold stone floor. the last though jogged Clare's memory and snapped her out of the trance enough to open her bag and shout down into it, "Iris! There are two weird bright red eye's flouting around up here, I'm not sure if they have a body."
Iris startled, pushing up from the pocket dimension's wall and resuming her pacing, albeit less chaotically this time. "Floating, red- you said eyes?" She paused, chewing her lip. "Are they… harmless?" the elf asked, hesitantly.
"Iris, for the love of all the gods, will you please hold still? It's giving me anxiety just looking at you," she grumbled, crossing her arms.
The Yrnan made a point of rooting her feet into the ground, glancing pointedly at Azriel. "Better?" she grumbled.
"Loads," Azriel replied with a hint of sarcasm. Everything is extremely stressful and I have no idea why. How absolutely wonderful.
She cocked her head, but made no other movements. “How are you feeling?” The elf’s voice was surprisingly gentle, but it always was when it concerned Azriel. Her shoulders loosened, and she unwound her tensed back, forcing her body to relax and calm down. If only for the sake of Azriel.
Bella saw two red blurs in front of them. What was it? It jogged a memory on her head. 13 year old Arabella is dragged into a room filled with glowing red lights. A while later her father enters and begans to use his mind to turn the lights into monster and visions of the monsters killing her friends. The red lights looked as if they were bleeding the blood of the victims into the floor. As if the lights were red because of the blood. Bella began to scream. They had to get away. “NONONONONOOOO!”
"I'm quite alright, just as I have already told you several times," she replied quietly, keeping her arms crossed.
Clare ordered Mira to back up from the eye's taking Bella with her. "Bella calm down before I knock you out again." She then addressed Iris, "I'm not really sure, they're pretty hypnotizing other then that they don't seem like they're going to hurt us."
"If you insist," she remarked in Brachish, letting out a small sigh. Addressing Clare, Iris grudgingly responded, "I don't like this- I don't think any of us do. Maybe we should slowly back away from the situation." Her fingers danced over the grip of her sword. "No one's prepared," she murmured quietly.
Clare didn't have to be told twice, she slowly backed away from the pools of red, one hand on her tiger. there wasn't much else she could do, there was no body to stab and she didn't like her odds when it came to stabbing those eye's.
“No!” Bella was violently shaking. If she had been able, she would have ran, but her legs felt like lead. Her mind swirled with what ifs and nonsense. Time seemed to slow as she gazed into the mesmerizing red eyes. She grew quiet and her breathing steady and calm, though unnaturally slow, like molasses. Her shaking stopped as she sat there as still as a statue just staring. Her heartbeat like a slow swinging pendant.
(Not only are her legs feeling like lead but she's tied up on a tiger, mwahahaha)
Clare continued to back up steadily, "Bella, shut your hecking mouth, the more noise we make the more interesting we are, so shut it." Clare's nerves were shot, she was fighting not to fall under those eye's hypnotic grasp, she had to stay in control, Bella and Azriel were basically useless right not and Iris was in the bag being a protective elf over her Angel, no she could not give in to the gaze, she had to keep backing up, one foot then another.
The snow suddenly begins to ease and the wall of white surrounding you fades. Without the camouflage of the snow, you see a large fox-like creature. It regards you silently. There's, perhaps, a hint of recognition. The red eyes, the strange mask attached to its face, the air of unfathomable knowledge. Before you stands the great Prophet, Moukib, the being you've only ever heard stories of.
(i totally lied when i said the religion lore had nothing to do with anything btw)
(Well time for me to go back and read that then)
(i always feel bad that I'm like..assigning you reading when you just want to roleplay but i dunno how else to get info across easily. uhh does anyone want a visual for Moukib or are you good?)
(I actually like having more worldbuilding in the RP It makes it more interesting, and I would like a visual if you don't mind)
(Moukib https://sta.sh/014l0iwtr3qy i remember i drew this when i had bad artblock so it's a little eh)
Clare froze in her tracks, "Lilly covered pumpkin's." She swore quietly she opened her bag, "Iris? I think the two eye's are Moukib, what should I do?" Clare was at a loss, she was trained to fight battles and deal with apposing businesses not all knowing beings.
(Guy's they left the Way beast in the cave :'( I'm sad now )
(that way beast will never trust again)
(I was realizing that while I was writing and I decided to leave it)
