Leo nodded and gestures to the thorn crown upon his head. It dug into his skin and had dried blood on it, "I am Prince Leo. The Earth Kingdom Heir. You can tell because of the crown. Once your born into the family, well let's just say you don't leave."
He grimaces, "I ran away to explore when those people captured me. I don't know why they did. Who are you guys?"
Ciana smiled, feeling her wounds heal. "I'm Ciana of the Light kingdom, and I am indebted to you for your being. Thank you."
"Well, seems they were trying to catch heirs, not sure why, I am the only one that would have any use for them" Devon said quietly, his purple eyes looking over Leo.
Ciana frowned. "I'm not entirely sure, I was pretty out of it, but I think one of them mentioned something about war?"
Leo frowned as he adjusted his crown so the thorns weren't digging in as much, "War? What are you talking about? I haven't heard anything about a upcoming war. Though I am a bit sheltered from any news." Seeing Devon look him over, he flushed, "Um…what…is your name?"
"Devon, heir to the dark kingdom" He said, sounding like his title was nothing but a burden.
Elias cams back with Ciana's stuff, and grinned at Leo, "oh look, a cute new friend"
Leo smiled softly and extended a hand to Devon, "Nice to meet you. To be honest, I don't know much about the Dark Kingdom. Well, I don't know a lot about the other kingdoms as well, but the Dark Kingdom even less. That's what happens when someone tries to assassinate you when your younger. Your parents shelter you. But you seem nice."
When Elias comes into the room, Leo introduced himself with a blush on his face about the "cute" comment. He hates how easily flustered he gets. Trying to change topics, he asks, "Now tell me about this war?"
Ciana shrugged. "When I woke up, I heard them talking about sparking a war, I think. I guess it would make sense, capturing heirs. They probably were planning on framing it on different kingdoms. The question is…. Why? Why did they want a war? It dosent make sense to me."

(Whats going on? Whos Alexander?)
(Leo was asking about the war)
(so sorry guys, life happened and I wasn't able to log on for a few days. lets just say Ginger went down the hall a bit, "to check for any more hostiles"? so she was far enough away that this quick exchange happens without her, but um yeah shes back now😅 sorry again guys)
Ginger turned back the way she had come, having reached the end of the long cheap-hotel-like hallway. Several steps away from the last door, she froze, suspending her breath in her nose, stilling her lightly swishing cloak. She strained her ears, reaching for any sound, any sign there were still other people in the building. Thirty seconds passed.
A minute.
Nothing.
She took a deep breath, stretching her lungs after the shallow breaths she had been taking. "Nobody else here…" she mumbled to herself. "Probably.' As she continued her way back, making one 90-degree turn, her friends' voices slowly became audible. A muscle in her mouth twitched, trying to form a grin. But at the sound of a crash and a new voice, she froze, listening again. Her friends' voices didn't sound distressed or as if they were battling again. Ginger put her hunting knife away, without realizing the moment she had drawn it again.
A door, two down from the one Ciana had been behind, was down; it looked kicked in, the top hinge partially torn free of the frame, and the lock and adjacent doorframe were in splinters. She noted the single blanket in one corner and the boarded-up window, and the strange mound of dirt, so out of place.
She made the spontaneous decision to stop and listen to the others before entering; she heard a new voice, introducing himself as Prince Leo of Earth Kingdom. Her eyes widened as Ciana mentioned the kidnappers speaking of war. Her father had been an accomplished general before marrying her mother; he had told Ginger of war.
Ginger walked into the room, head high, her bearing all that of a respected princess. Her eyes did a quick once-over of her friends. Devon seemed a little more steady on his feet, recovered from the tool of the electric magic. Ciana had some color back in her face and her wound had stopped leaking a steady stream of blood, though the skin was still damaged and blood was still smeared everywhere. Elias was, of course, beaming at the newcomer. He was cute, Ginger supposed. He had a friendly, open face and kind eyes, though they were shadowed by the uncomfortable-looking wreath of thorns crowning his head.
Ginger's mouth twitched again, thinking of how Elias had greeted him. "I am Princess Ginger, Heir to the Fire Kingdom." All the formalities that had been drilled into her as a royal were back in place with the stranger. She dipped a bow, looking somewhat down at Leo when she straightened.
"Oh shit- right..Hi! I am Elias, heir to the uh electric kindom, and that hot brooding guy staring you down is Devon, heir and all powerful guy, from the dark kingdom, and you know, prophisized ruler of all~" Elias proceeded to hug the newcomer.
"Not-" Devon started and sighed, yes he was prophesised to rule, but that didnt mean he was planning on being a tyrant. Elias knew good and well he wanted a council, which is why he was gathering heir's. "War? The king of the dark kingdom wants to take over the rest of the kingdoms"
Leo looked as Elias hugged him and gave Ginger a smile. As he saw her gazing at the crown he grimaces, "It's a tradition that the heirs to the Earth Kingdom wear a crown such as the one on my head. Something about dignity and sacrifice. Though I think it's there just to remind me that I'll never escape my title." He laughed but saw no one else was so he stopped. "Um anyways…it's nice to meet you guys. I've never really met anyone outside the Earth Kingdom." He looked between Elias and Devon, "Am I missing something here?"
Leo grimaced, "I'm sorry that I'm not of much help. See…I ran away. But now I'm thinking I should be going back to warn my parents about this upcoming war."
( yeah, didn't realize it was my turn)
(it dosent really make sense for her to talk right now, leos talked to Devon and Elias, and he responded to ginger, which is why I hadn't responded)
Ciana looked at the crown of thorns on Leo's head, brow furrowing. "That's awful. You just… Have to live with that pain?"
Leo looked at her in confusion, "Well…yeah. Previous heirs usually used their healing magic to deal with the pain but I like to save that in case someone else gets hurt. Like with you." He smiles at Ciana, "Besides, you get use to the pain for the most part." Glancing back over at Elias and Devon in confusion. "I didn't know you could be with someone who didn't harness the same element as an heir…."
"Well, I'm and heir, and pansexual, so like, I dont give a fuck?" Elias laughed.
"We're not together-" Devon said as if it was supposed to be obvious, "he has just been following me around for months now-"
Leo smiled at Elias, he had never seen someone so carefree. "You look like fun." He looked at Ginger and Devon, both who looked like they might be in charge, "So why are all of you together? Heirs in one place doesn't usually happen I'm guessing, not that I get out much."
