(i’m here just waiting on a reply to my last comment lol)
Seong-Jin sat up, not expecting the girl to be here.
"You have a nice voice"
He says like it was nothing. He did like her voice a lot, and he said it. He never really cared for telling people things, he used to though.
"Oh god!" She uncurls herself and sits up She narrows her eyes and glares at him. "For one, don't scare me like that. Two, how did you hear me? Did you hear me through the walls?" She whispers, as it was late and whispering felt right.
"I went to see where you went, i saw you go into a random room, which i was pretty sure we weren't allowed to do that, but whatever. Anyway, i heard your voice and i listened…..sorry if that's weird, i didnt purposely do that….i mean- whatever, i wouldn't sleep in that chair, we have beds for reason."
He says laying back down and rolling over on his side.
It was too late for him to think about things like this.
"It was the closest thing." She said, wrapping herself in the blanket again and plopped down into her own bed. "I only sing for myself and my mom." She muttered, and then fell asleep.
"Okay"
He says not knowing she was asleep.
"We should discuss things tomorrow"
He says quieter than usual.
(Damn it, I forgot about this rp again, sorry XD)
Royce held his notebook to his face, covering the bottom half of his face.
Before you ask any questions, I’m mute so don’t be annoyed if I don’t answer quickly
He held the notebook diagonally, placing his index finger down the side of the notebook. After he was sure the girl finished reading what he had written, he flipped the page.
I’m Royce Marine of the Water District, technically one of your foes
As he showed the new page, another strong breeze of cold wind blew through the halls.
(it’s fine)
“I’m Alice Lee,” she replied aloud, sounding fairly friendly. “And not to be rude, if we’re supposed to be enemies, why are you talking to me?” She raised an eyebrow, wondering if he noticed that she used the phrase ‘supposed to be’ instead of just saying ‘enemies’.
Royce took out his pen and started writing something on an empty page.
It’s not wrong to have a friendly chat before we start killing each other, is it? Ignore that, I just want to know more about each individual I’m up against. Even though truthfully speaking we should all walk out of this place unharmed, that's the most unlikely thing to happen
Alice snorted in agreement at the last part. “Okay, what is it you want to know? Nothing you can use against me of course, like my strengths and weaknesses, but I’ll tell you useless little facts if you want. You can tell me some too.”
(Heh, me and Write are kind of ahead of everyone aren't we? How are we going to get to training and such? Do we have a moderator/narrator such person to be the guide? QUESTIONS!)
(idk, although @PrettyLittlePyro is in charge, but theyre not……active or anything so i dont know what to do. I would just wait for everyone else to go through enough time to catch up, then we time skip ig???? Idk tho)
(Ig we just have to see how it plays out, but yeah we might have to wait until everyone else sleeps too. Then we can probably skip to training?)
(yeah im guessing)
Royce started thinking about what he wanted to write. He then started to trace something down on his notebook.
Well, I guess we can start with some background info. Before coming here, I work as a hunter’s apprentice and also a part-time art shopkeeper in the Water District
He showed the page to the girl, hoping she would tell him something of the same category.
“I worked at selling fruit and vegetables with my dad,” Alice replied. “Though I can’t exactly say that business was booming or anything. What I really liked to do was write. What about you? What are your hobbies?”
Royce smiled softly as he wrote something.
Drawing and sketching
He then opened through his notebook where several drawings of people and locations across the four districts. He stopped at one page specifically; a page dedicated to Royce’s imagination of what it would look like if the four districts united.
“Wow, these are really good,” Alice breathed, awed at his skills. “Maybe one day, with my writing and your drawing, we could have made something of ourselves. Seriously, though, these are incredible. Where’d you learn to do that?”
Royce opened a blank page and started writing.
The owner of the art shop I work at taught me about most of these, especially shadow work, those are hard as hell to master
He showed to Alice, smiling softly under the notebook. He then wrote something else on the same page.
Would you mind giving me an idea for something to draw? I’m running out of ideas these days
Alice smiled as she read it, one of her first actual smiles since she’d arrived. “I love to look at the sky just before sunset, when it’s rosy and soft and full of promise. Maybe you could draw a summery setting with a quaint little log cabin and a sunset? With maybe a lake and a deer? Or something? Ooh, or someone riding a dragon!”
Royce tapped his mechanical pencil against his chin several times before he wrote something down.
Screw it, I’m drawing all of that in one image, challenge has been accepted
He showed the page while covering his face before he lowered it to reveal his friendly smile.
Alice grinned back. She probably shouldn’t be getting this friendly with an opponent but something about Royce just clicked with her. “Okay, now that’s ambitious,” she teased. “But I can’t wait to see it.”
Hopefully I can show it to you before… you know…
He then wrote something else.
I might have to go now, my teammate’s probably waiting for me or lost somewhere, which is also not a good thing. It was nice talking to you
Royce then closed his notebook and kept his pencil in his shirt’s pocket. Waving and mouthing Bye to Alice, Royce walked down the hall back towards his room.
Alice waved as well. “See you.” She gave him a wan smile, before turning back to her partner. “He was nice.”
