Of course we wouldn't know. For all we know, she could be either our ticket out of here, or a ticket to someplace worse. Sky's thoughts weren't positive, nor negative, just cautious.
"We need to be careful. We don't know what we're walking into."
“I guess that’s true. Still, how bad can it really be?” Asher added. He seemed carefree but he was actually very cautious.
Aza finally spoke. "It can be very, very bad," she voiced softly. She shook out her hair a second time and laughed, lavender locks fanning out around her head.
"Or it can be very, very good," Skylar countered, trying to lighten the mood, even if they were known as freaks and outsiders.
"I'm glad you think so optimistically," she chirped sarcastically.
Asher shrugged and sighed.
“Whatever the outcome, I’m going where she told us to meet her” he told them quietly.
(Okay.)
Tempest stood beneath the tree, hidden in the shadows. She listened carefully, all senses on high alert.
Asher looked out the backdoor. He walked out and looked for the tree the lady told him about. He held his suitcase in his left hand, closing the door with his right. His eyes glowed in the dark as they were neon green. Walking to the tree, he doubted that anyone would follow him but shrugged it off. He looked around, making sure no one unwanted followed him.
Tempest noticed the boy and moved closer. She sat on a branch, watching.
Asher saw Tempest on the branch. His gloves were still on and his suit was still clean. He waved to the feminine figure.
Tempest nodded to him. "The others?" She asked.
“I’m not sure whether they’ll come or not, some of them didn’t trust you…well, not some” Asher replied.
Tempest shrugged, jumping lightly from the tree. "I'm a siren. It's not a good idea to trust me." She stretched. "So, how long have you been stuck with that guy?"
“2 years? Well, it’s more like 3 years but the first year was not one I want to remember. He started treating me like an actual human rather than an animal when he knew my capabilities” Asher explained, looking left and right to see if someone followed him.
"I'm here," Aza said, flipping her hood back and stepping out from behind the tree Tempest was perched on. "I followed the siren here. I wasn't sure if you wanted to come but I guess it doesn't matter."
Tempest smirked. "I'm in a relationship with a literal animal, and you're not one."
“Heh, well at least someone trusted her other than myself” Asher centered his tie.
“You’re a siren, that’s not weird” Asher commented on what Tempest said.
"He's the goat for the Chimera. Of course it's weird." She grinned.
“Okay, when you said that, no, it’s no longer normal” Asher giggled.
Sky cautiously walked out, her eyes alert for any impending danger.
"Hello," she nods to Tempest and the other two performers.
Asher turned to Skylar.
“I see you’ve decided to follow” he grinned behind his mask. “Also, how did you manage to come here without anyone seei—oh…right” He turned to ask Aza before remembering what her power was.
Aza gave him a dangerous-looking grin and pulled her hood back up.
