Shiloh sunk to the floor. She could speak. "Well, well, well. You're Shiloh aren't you? Yes, one of the recruits from the rescue team that kidnapped my daughter." Shiloh flipped around. Scowling at her, was Estelle's not-mother. "You should fetch a nice prize, huh?" She grabbed Shiloh by her upper arm and began dragging her out.
"No- AHHH!" The collar zapped her with such force that she almost passed out. The cold woman grinned evilly. Her gaze snapped to Kula.
"We will talk later," she sneered before wrenching Shiloh out of the barracks. Shiloh tried to fight, but the collar was ruthless. Her attempts were futile, and soon, she simply hung limp.
"There we go! Much easier for the both of us now, yes?" She continued on.
Winter was almost at the barracks. One more hill and then… Winter stopped short. Shiloh was being dragged out of the barracks by her arm. And what was that around her neck? A shock collar? Winter was breathing heavily. She looked away. Then, she looked up at the sky. She muttered, "I hope you don't see what I'm about to do Elias…" Winter looked down at the baggy clothes she was wearing. "I don't have much of a choice, now do I? What's more distracting than a glowing, armed hostile?" She sighed, and took the extra clothes off. She concentrated, and relaxed, letting the armor of her people envelope her. The glow was earth-shattering. She was sure everyone on that rock had seen the light. She sighed, "So much for stealth…" Winter stood on the crest above the barracks. She drew her weapons, and with that, the attention of everybody that didn't't want her there…
Shiloh's eyes flickered as a blue glow covered her. Winter?
Estelle's mother's grip tightened on Shiloh. It hurt, but she didn't want to feel the collar again. She was limp, practically lifeless.
"Hothian!" The woman called out. "Surrender now."
Winter looked directly at the woman who knew her race. She muttered, "Elias forgive me…" Then, Winter declared boldly, "How about… NO. I believe you have something of mine. I would like my friend back. Unharmed. Also, I would like to know who you are, because the only people who know what my race is, are the people who wiped them out. And I'm still pretty bitter about that…"
The woman smirked. She didn't release Shiloh, only gripped tighter. "I am Admiral Paris Aquare. And to get your friend here back, I request only one simple thing. My daughter."
Winter looked up. She muttered, "I'm relieved that we left Estelle on the ship… If anything was going to happen to it, I'm sure that Elias could stop it…" She looked back at the Admiral. She did something that made herself cringe. She sassed, and played dumb. "Excuse me for asking, but who is your daughter? No one could possibly be that ugly… Anyone who had you for a parent, lived with a monster… I should know. After your people killed mine, I lived with the worst monsters on Hoth! I ran from them everyday. Wampas were the worst… Until they decided to team up with the ice eaters beneath the frozen oceans… Then life was a living nightmare. I believe you are the one who owes me the apology Admiral." She said coldly.
(Haha yes! I'm still here too!!!)
(Go Camie Go! Lavender we needed you…)
(I AM HERE FRIENDS!
also, I thought 5 killed Estelle's faux mother)
(Diversion they are twin evil sisters… fixed it!)
(Noice! Is Camie still on?)
(Idk, think she is, but go ahead and go. We got a little carried away…)
(Yes. Camie had to go watch baseball, but she is back now.)
"I'm very sorry," Admiral Aquare responded, not sounding like she was sorry at all. "But my deal is still solid. A life for a life."
Essar had followed Winter when they'd heard Shiloh scream. Welp, the bastards know we're here now.
He watched Winter carefully, seeing what she'd say next.
Winter started laughing. "You're sorry? Like I believe that. You want a life for a life? How about we fight for her? I want my friend and you want your daughter. If I win, I get my friend. If you win, you get your "daughter". Seems like a fair trade, doesn't it?"
Essar had the sinking feeling that even if Winter won, they wouldn't make it out of there.
Winter realized, even after she spoke the challenge, they would lose, even if she won the fight. There was still one way to win. Their only hope laid in the hands of a nervous boy on a ship who was still learning the controls…
With the ghostly color of Shiloh's skin and the collar digging tightly into her neck, it was a miracle that she was alive at all. Her eyes meant Winter's. No. Don't do this for me.
Amtrak Aquare considered. "Since my daughter is clearly not with you, I can only assume that she is in your ship, which must be somewhere on the nearby premises." As she was speaking, she pointed to her left, then her right, dispatching troopers to find the ship. "This would be no trouble at all if you would simply come quietly. Do we have a deal? Or must I resort to more… severe measures?"
Essar whipped out his comlink. "5! Elias! Get out of here! Don't wait for us, retreat right now!"
