Shiloh arched an eyebrow and smirked. "News travels fast on this dust ball. We may have been a little bit busy before stopping here."
"Or she felt it," Estelle poked Shiloh's side, causing the Twi'lek to hiss.
"I've told you how many times to stop doing that!"
"Yeah, well, it's fun," Estelle teased, booping Shiloh's nose and finally noticing the stranger sitting with them. "Oh… and who might you be?"
hiro laughed a bit " im hiro, hiro shimada, " he said and watched the convo " you al know each other?" he asked
Winter smiled.
“Come on Estelle. I think I know you and Shiloh well enough to make a well educated guess. And to be honest, whoever you took out probably had it coming. And yes Hiro. Estelle is my sister. She was taken by the Empire. And then rescued by an old friend. As for Shiloh, we actually met here! Ten years ago. And by the looks of it, we actually met right here! Of course we were oh what eighteen and sixteen back then, but we sure did know how to cause chaos. And by the looks of it, we still do. How old are you Hiro?”
"im only sixteen" he said. hiro seemed to look at the newer two,
Elias smiled as he watched his son play with the toy. And he looked back up at Hiro.
“Well kid, that’s a good time to start experiencing life. And if you’re anything like we were, I’m going to assume you’re on your own now? Maybe working for someone who has offered you shelter and a little bit of food in exchange for your service? Or they know about your little secret about you being Force sensitive, and they’re using it as leverage to keep you subdued. Trust us kid, all of us have been there. Except for Frost. He wasn’t ever a thought at the time we were bringing chaos to the galaxy.”
Winter nodded.
“If we’re being honest it took us like a day to decide we wanted a kid. And boom. Frost. Now there’s at least three Hothians and one Empire test subject Hothian who is doing an amazing job of coming back from what the Empire did to her, left in the galaxy. We’re the last of our kind. However, crime lords and high dollar buyers would love to have any one of us. Because we can do something no other race or breed of person or creature can do. When it’s less crowded, I can tell you if you’d like. But here’s a fact. Not one of us are hot weather dwellers. It’s a little bit of a struggle here on Tatooine.”
(I was thinking that maybe Hiro worked for the crime lord Estelle and Shiloh killed, and then everyone working with this crime lord automatically assumed it was Hiro bc he’s different? And they come after him? But after we’ve had a nice chat in the cantina tho. We got to build some backstories and ten years worth of memories 😂)
Estelle flushed. "Oh stop. Without you all – and Essar, of course – I'd still be living hopelessly on Naboo. Maybe even dead." She shuddered at the thought, and Shiloh placed a gentle hand on her partner's shoulder. "Anyway, short and sweet, what they're trying to say is we understand where you're at right now. I mean, we were all young once."
" id rather not talk about it, i cant trouble people i just met with life, especially ones with kids. " he said solemnly
Elias leaned back and glanced at Winter.
“Alright kid, I understand. Someone else was like that.”
He tilted his head towards Winter.
“Anyways, trust me when I say this, Frost has always been in fights. We decided very early on that we wouldn’t hide him. He’s had a few blaster battles. He’s tough for a little guy.”
Winter ruffled Frost’s hair once more and looked at Hiro.
“You don’t have to tell us your past, but we can share parts of ours. If you would like to listen. Ten years is a long time Hiro. We’ve learned a lot of lessons since we were your age. And the galaxy is very big. And it needs help. So that’s what we do. We help those who need it, while also trying to stay safe and raise a child. It’s not the easiest life, but we wouldn’t change it for all the stars in the galaxy.”
Winter looked at Estelle and Shiloh, and looked back at Hiro.
“Now the ones you really have to look after are these two. Shiloh can fix anything and Estelle can sweet talk anyone. And together, whoa buddy. They can be a menace. People have disappeared after talking to them and no one knows where they went. It’s kinda scary, but also very convenient.”
hiro chuckled " sounds like youve got life by the horns. " he said and sighed. he raised his hand and lifted the mask, his face covered in a few scars along his eyes and cheek.
Elias shrugged and laughed a little.
“I guess we do. It doesn’t feel like it half the time!”
Frost looked up from where he was playing with the toy and looked at Hiro intently. His little eyes started to glow, and it sent Elias and Winter into a panicked frenzy. Frost stopped after Winter covered his face and held him tight.
Elias looked at Hiro, and set his mouth.
“Look kid, sorry about the glowing eyed son of mine. A brief introduction, Hothians have their own gifts, and Frost here, well… He takes after me. He can heal things. And when he saw your face, he tried to heal it. We keep telling him to ask people if they want to be healed, but there’s not much we can do for scars. My apologies Hiro.”
At that moment Frost peeked out from under Winter’s arm and looked at Hiro.
“Hey! What’s happened to your face?”
Winter looked at Elias and groaned.
“I’m so sorry Hiro. Frost has no filter. He’s still learning… you don’t have to answer that at all if you don’t feel comfortable. But I will say this. We all have our scars, and it’s okay to show them.”
" n..no no its alright really!" he said and hed out his hands. " its from someone i work for kid. along with teaching myself to use this," he pulled out the saber and held it in his hand
Elias leaned across the table to shield what was in Hiro’s hands.
“Careful son! We know what that is. And there’s a huge bounty out there for those who have one. Winter, Shiloh, Estelle. Do you think anyone saw us?”
Winter reached out.
“I can only feel a few very drunk patrons. They won’t remember anything. Estelle, Shiloh. What do you guys think?”
" no, no one saw. this place keeps their mouth shut, especially with who i work for. itd be their heads and not mine.."
Winter narrowed her eyes. And looked at Estelle and Shiloh very closely.
“Now I know I’m going to eat my words, and I am very well prepared to do so, but what are the odds that you took out his boss?”

The couple exchanged a glance. "Well, I'm going to go with highly probable," Shiloh finally answered, and Estelle was already nodding with agreement. "All we know was that he had it coming, and we were already coming here to meet you two psychos. Two womp rats. One bullet."
"Pew," Estelle imitated blaster fire and made finger guns.

Frost giggled and Winter groaned and put her face in her hands.
“Alright, so Frost thinks you’re hilarious Estelle. But if the answer is highly probable, then we know what’s coming. All we can do is relax and chill until they get here. How is it that when we always come to this cantina, on this dusty planet, we always have some sort of exchange?”

Estelle winked and scrunched her nose sweetly. "You're just jealous he likes his aunties better than he likes you," she teased.
Shiloh rolled her eyes with a smile before she turned the conversation a bit more serious. "No idea. But we should've considered the consequences of dragging you back into this. We're sorry." She nudged Estelle's ribs, and the woman widened her eyes.
"Yes! Of course, so sorry!"
Elias laughed.
“Don’t be sorry. Frost needs some first hand experience. He’ll be okay. He got his gift to protect him just in case he gets hit. And his dad can always heal him if things get serious. As for him liking his Auntie’s more, it because you don’t scold him! He’s gonna end up being the chaos child of all four of us. He’s already got Win’s attitude, my gift, and now he’s gonna have the duo of you two teaching him curses or something. Which I mean I won’t mind, and neither will Win, because again, Frost has her attitude.”
Winter rolled her eyes.
“Anyways Hiro, you don’t have to worry about your safety. I guarantee if anything were to happen, you could handle yourself. But since we’re here, if anything we’re to happen, you’re probably safer with us. Especially since me and Elias can eat a few blaster bolts. It’s not going to effect us too much.”
