(I love how you knew that Kaito was oblivious as hell to the fact that Shuichi liked him- XD)
Kaito blushed at the response as he finally realized what he said a moment ago. "A-and I just…" he trailed off, realizing that the other felt the same. "Wait…you feel the same…?!"
Shuichi laughed “ yes! Truly!”
"Well…I know I just got broken up with, but who cares? Wanna be my boyfriend?" Kaito asked. smiling brightly for the first time in days.
“ sure!” Shuichi said and smiled
"Perfect!" Kaito replied before kissing the other softly. "I've been wanting to do that for so long now."
Shuichi flushed, looking away
"And you're blushing. Adorable," Kaito smiled. "Anyways, you wanna go get some breakfast? I'm in the mood to go get some and have a day out for our first date!"
Shuichi smiled “ sure babe!”
Kaito smiled as he quickly got out of bed. Despite everything, he immediately picked Shuichi up and started running towards a restaurant that they liked, excited to be going on a date with his best friend turned boyfriend.
"We're here!" he grinned as he came to a stop outside of a small cafe. "And let's get some food!"
“ okay but let me walk!” he whined
Kaito laughed softly as he put Shuichi down. "I got excited, that's all. I'll let you walk now. We can enjoy our date together now!"
“ okay!”
Kaito smiled as he grabbed Shuichi's hand and went inside. They were quickly seated, as it was a small cafe that wasn't incredibly busy. He smiled softly as he sat across from Shuichi, his expression showing all of the love he had for the other.
"So…what should we do after breakfast?" Kaito asked him, continuing to smile. "I'm much better now that I'm with you, so I have the energy to do anything today!"
Before the other could respond to the comment, a kitten jumped into his lap. It was a common occurrence at the cafe, though it was still surprising. It was a good surprise, though.
Kaito laughed softly. "Cats tend to find their way in here. That kitten followed me around a couple of weeks ago," he smiled. "It's cute, isn't it?"
(alright! I'm gonna stop here today and try and find out more about dauganrampa )
(That's fine! I'll make an edit to the reply so they can meet their cat at the cafe again, and we can continue tomorrow! ^^
(And I'm bringing drama tomorrow, but I wanted to end today's note on fluffy happiness since I prefer to discuss drama ideas in person, but anyways, I'm adding their cat back in! ^^))

“ yes it is cute,”
Kaito smiled at the response. "It is adorable. It seems to like us, too," he stated, smiling softly. "If you're willing to raise it with me, can we keep it?"
His eyes lit up at the question. He seemed like a small child when it came to asking if they could keep the kitten, excited about it.
(Kaito can be childishly pure in the canon, so this is a reference to that. :) )
“ yes! I would love to!” he said and smiled like a kid

Kaito grinned at the response. "Yay!" he beamed. "Now let's take our food home and bring the cat home with us!"
“Yeah!”
Kaito smiled at the other as he stood up. "Let's go, then!"
He had to fight the urge to pick Shuichi back up as he rushed back home with the other. He seemed excited to take the cat home. However, as he was running, he suddenly stopped as he ran out of breath. Seeing as he was an active person, it was unusual for this to occur, but he came to a complete stop.

“ hey baby? You okay?”
Kaito looked at Shuichi after a moment and nodded. "Y-yeah… Just ran out of breath for a sec…" he replied as if it was nothing, though it was definitely something.
