Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

As he finished making an adjustment to Kokichi's wiring, Kiibo sighed to himself. He had been working on the repairs for his robotic friend since the previous night, and he was only then finished. It had taken him hours, but his friend should be back to functioning normally, and he finished just in time, too. He knew that his roommate would be returning from his trip soon, and he wanted him to meet Kokichi.
Now that the repairs were done, he powered the robot and gave him a smile. Even if he was exhausted from working all night, he was glad to have his friend back, and he needed to make sure that everything had been fixed, so he couldn't relax just yet. Once he made sure that nothing was wrong, he would wait for his roommate to return, and then he would introduce the two of them.
"Does everything feel like it's back to normal now?" he asked Kokichi softly. "I'm not sure what you did to yourself, but a lot of your systems were messed up. I had to redo a lot of your wiring and make some minor repairs to your body, and it took all night, but you should be good to go. However, I must request that you stay. There is someone that I want you to meet."
After he spoke, he simply waited for a response from the other. He wasn't sure what he was going to say, but he really did hope that he would agree to stay for a while. Rantaro would be there any second, and he wanted his friends to finally meet each other. Now that he was returning from his trip, they finally could meet. As long as they got along, he'd have a small friend group, which would make him really happy.
Kokichi tried to talk but his voice box skipped. "Mie- water.."
Kiibo sighed softly. It seemed like he would still need to make a few adjustments, but it didn't bother him all that much. He was more than willing to repair his friend, and it would be that difficult of a fix. He would just explain what he was doing, power his friend down, make the repairs, and then power him back on. He hoped that the situation would be taken care of before his roommate returned, but he couldn't be sure.
"Ah, I must have improperly repaired your voice box, so if you'll give me a moment, I'll repair that," he spoke softly. "You're going to be shut down for a little while as I make more repairs, but I should be done soon, don't worry. I think I know what I did wrong."
After he spoke, he shut his friend down again before he went back to making repairs. He analyzed his friend's voice box before he realized what he had missed during his original repairs, and it wouldn't be that difficult of a fix. After a couple of minutes, the repairs had been made, and he replaced his friend's voice box before powering him back on.
"I think I fixed it," he told him softly. "Try speaking again. Is everything alright now?"
"I think so too, it doesn't feel so tight." He said and gave a soft laugh.
Kokichi jumped as someone else came in "hello!" He greeted
Rantaro waved at Kokichi and Kiibo as he entered the dorm. He had his suitcase with him since he just returned from one of his trips, and he seemed to be in a pretty good mood. However, he wasn't sure who Kokichi was or what he was doing in his dorm. He didn't care at all that he was a robot; he just didn't know who he was.
"Hi!" he greeted. "Um, who are you, exactly? Sorry, I don't think we've met before. Are you the friend Kiibo wanted me to meet? He mentioned that he wanted me to meet one of his friends."
"yeah! He helped build me! My name is Kokichi Ouma!"
Rantaro nodded in response as he smiled at Kokichi. He knew that Kiibo had helped his father build a robot, but he never thought that he was also his best friend. Then again, both Kiibo and his father were skilled inventors, so it made sense to him. Even then, he was still impressed by it.
"You helped build him?" he asked Kiibo. "That's impressive! I knew you were good with this stuff, but I never knew that!" He ruffled Kiibo's hair before he looked at Kokichi again. "Nice to meet you. I'm Rantaro Amami, his best friend and roommate. We only met earlier this year when we started college here, but we've become close friends."
Kiibo's face was tinted with a light red as Rantaro made the comments. It seemed like he was a bit embarrassed by the comments, but he did nod when he was asked if he helped build Kokichi. However, he was glad to see that his friends were getting along.
Kokichi laughed softly, a small glitch but nothing concerning within the laugh. He shook Rantaro's hand. "I have met some of this college, one in particular does not like me well. She threw water on me.."
Rantaro sighed softly when he heard that someone threw water onto Kokichi. He wondered why this unknown person hated him so much, unsure if it was his personality or the fact that he was a robot. If it was the latter, that was just rude, although it was rude either way.
"So, that's what happened yesterday…" Kiibo noted. He seemed to be a bit lost in his thoughts. "I'm not sure who this person is, but their actions were robophobic…"
Rantaro overheard the random comment, and he couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Robophobic? Is that even a word, Kiibo?" he teased as he ruffled the other's hair again. "I see you take your projects seriously, and I'm sure that we can stop whoever did this. Kokichi won't have to worry about this for much longer."
"i- I am still worried, it seemed like she had every intent on trying to kill me " he said softly, rubbing his neck.
Kiibo was angered by the idea that someone was trying to kill his best friend, and he muttered another thing about this person being robophobic as he looked at Kokichi. He wouldn't let anyone kill his best friend, so he had to protect him. Maybe Rantaro could help as well. His earlier comment implied that he would.
"I can't believe her…" he sighed after a moment. "Seriously, I'll try to keep her away from you, alright? I don't want anything else happening to you."
Kiibo shook his head when he was thanked by Kokichi for wanting to protect him. He would always want to protect him because he was his friend. He really hoped that things would be alright for him, though. He didn't want anything bad to happen to him, and he would try to protect him to the best of his abilities.
"No need. I care about you, you know," he spoke softly. "Now, who actually tried to hurt you? Do you know why?"
Kokichi had gone to respond. A message running across his neck band before his body suddenly shut down.
His body went limp against Kiibo, completely shut off.
Kiibo was surprised and concerned when Kokichi completely shut down. He just finished repairing him, so how did that make any sense? He didn't know what he would have missed, and he was sure to charge Kokichi, so it had nothing to do with him not having power. He didn't know what was going on, but he was worried about him, to say the least.
"What the…?" he asked himself before he set Kokichi back on the table. "I don't… What…? I just finished repairing him…! What did I miss…? I thought I fixed everything…"
(watch it be the stupidest thing ever that he forgot ) Rantaro jumped up, " I suppose that's not supposed to happen.. maybe his battery had loose water in the battery? Did you put him in rice?"
Kiibo sighed softly as he looked at Kokichi. Nothing about the situation made sense, and he didn't really know what he could have missed to cause an error such as this, but he needed to figure this out before anything else could happen to his friend. He would properly finish his repairs this time. Adding Rantaro's comment into consideration, maybe he had just figured everything out.
"That's…a random question, but you may be onto something…" he responded after a moment. "I could've sworn that I checked, but something has to be wrong if he completely shut down like this… I helped my father build him, and yet, the idea that he worked for a while after this didn't cross my mind. Thanks for the help, although we still need to see if you're right."
Rantaro gave a gentle nod and got a screwdriver set . "Would this work?"
Kiibo nodded in response once he saw the screwdriver set that Rantaro got him. It was already the same set that he had been using to repair Kokichi, so it would definitely work. He really hoped that he could find a way to properly repair his friend, although he didn't understand how he didn't do so the first time. Usually he was better with that sort of thing.
"Let's see, then," he spoke softly. "And could you help me? I don't think this is your sort of thing, but I've been up all night, and I already missed something, so I could use some help just to make sure."
Rantaro nodded, helping to take Kokichi apart
Once the two of them took Kokichi apart, they realized that Rantaro had been right about what was going on. Kiibo could have sworn that he checked that already, but he must not have since it was the issue. At least it would have an easy fix, although the inventor wasn't entirely sure how he could miss something so obvious in his original repairs.
"You were right, then," he told Rantaro softly. "I don't know how I missed that, in all honesty… Thanks for the help, by the way. I really appreciate it…"
Rantaro smiled proudly at his achievement "now . Sleep. Go."
Kiibo sighed softly at the request that Rantaro gave him. He knew that he needed to sleep, but he didn't think that he was all that tired at the moment. This wouldn't have been the first time that he was up all night working on repairs or some sort of project. It happened fairly often. He just thought that he made a simple error, as it happened sometimes. He didn't think that it had anything to do with how much energy he had at the time.
"I don't think I need that much sleep right now," he told the other softly. "I made a slight error in the original repairs, but anyone's prone to making small mistakes like that. I tend to make them even when I'm fully rested, so you don't have much to be concerned about. I've stayed up all night working on projects a lot, especially in the couple of months you were on your trip. Trust me, I'm alright."
"sleep Kiibo.. please, I'll even lay on top of you to make you "
