…Alright, seeing as it's been a couple of days and I've seen no sign of Larkspur on Notebook (which is fine—if you're reading this, Larkspur, I hope things are going well for you), I'm going to go ahead and begin writing the start. I dunno when for sure I'm going to post it, but it'll definitely be soon. If not tonight, tomorrow or Monday. Just to let y'all know.

I dunno, honestly. We'll give Larkspur a chance to reply without us getting too far along in the roleplay, and if they don't, then I guess I'll play the third character. As long as no one else shows interest, I mean.

Alright, I'm going to do a few things starting sometime today.

  • I'm going to start a new discussion strictly for this roleplay. Out of character speech can still occur on the original discussion (hint: this one), unless it's a question pertaining to the roleplay, in which case please refer to the next bullet point.

  • I'm going to create a PM including all of us and repost some of the more critical info as a quick source. This will also serve as a Q&A concerning where the roleplay will go in terms of plot (as a kind of choose-your-own adventure ruled by majority, although this will only happen on rare occasion when I'm feeling indecisive), plot suggestions, or questions pertaining to cans and can'ts for your individual or group replies.

  • I'm going to post the starter. I have it written. It's rather long because I'm trying to set the scene in a way that can be easily understood by someone, even if they aren't super familiar with Naruto. Most of my responses will probably be pretty lengthy, so just know that I'm not demanding the same of you. I'm not going to ask for a specific number of sentences or word count—all I ask is that however much you write, please make sure it's enough for me or someone else to properly respond to.

  • Concerning Larkspur, if they haven't responded by the time we're ready to progress more with the plot, then I will create and play as the third genin character in addition to Naoki. Assuming Larkspur still wants to participate, then they can take over that genin when they're ready. It's the best solution I could come up with, considering that it's been a full week since I started this and I'm beyond ready to begin it.

If you have any questions/comments/concerns, now's the time to state them! I'd also like to double check that @Loki_Lyakuya is active, since it's been awhile since I've heard from you. I know there's been no real need for you to respond to this lately, so don't feel like I'm calling you out or anything! :)

What do you mean? Are you referring to the questions/comments/concerns? 'Cause those things can always be addressed whenever in the PM.

It's important to note that although it's the genins' first time meeting Naoki, they should already know each other, having coming from a pre-existing team.

I'm going to leave this here. If Larkspur gets back to us before things pick up, then they can use their character, but for now it's looking like we'll need Fukuro.

Name: Fukuro Suzuki
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Age: Thirteen
Backstory: Like countless others, Fukuro’s parents were killed in the attack of the nine tailed fox. She has no recollection of them, but her older brother tells her they were kind people. As a child she was given to her aunt, a kunoichi in the Yamanaka clan, to be cared for until she could live on her own. As such, Fukuro grew up with other children of the Yamanaka clan, learning similar techniques despite not having an affinity for their signature jutsu. Now a genin, Fukuro is an accomplished sensory ninja, skilled in long distance ninjutsu and marksmanship.
Appearance: About 5’4 in height, and 95 lbs on her best day. She’s wiry and lean, with distinctly pronounced muscles beneath the snug, lilac long sleeve shirt and black leggings that she often adorns. Her hair is long and platinum, down to the middle of her back and kept tied back in a ponytail, and her eyes are a warm brown. She wears black fingerless gloves and lilac sandals, and keeps a small scroll in her utility bag for her summoning.

Weapons: Slingshot, kunai, shuriken, paper bombs, flash bombs
Other: Has an affinity for water style jutsu. Her summoning contract is with the hawks.

Miko looked at the others nani

I don't mean to be offensive, but I feel as if you don't really want to participate… I just don't know what to do with this. Is Miko speaking out loud or thinking the word 'nani'? And if she's only thinking it, why bothing posting a sentence that doesn't interact with other characters in the slightest?

I don't mind one liners as long as they add to the story. And I understand that I've made it difficult in some ways, but that's why I'm trying so hard to include opportunities for our characters to react to things, at least until we get to a more individualized setting.

All I ask is that you put in a little more effort. Miko's such a cool character—it'd be a shame if we didn't get to see her true colors in this roleplay!
