Beth nodded, then watched as the girl took off her mask and introduced herself. "Oh, uh, I'm Elizabeth. Beth." she introduced herself. She pushed back her own hood and took off her make-shift mask. "It's nice to meet you."

Finley studied them. “You’re really not from around here,” she repeated, not taking off her mask. “First rule, never tell things to strangers that they don’t need to know or they’ll use it against you. You can call me Acid Spider. Also, spider-people here don’t exist. I’m the only one. Except now, apparently, I’m not.”
"There's literally nothing anyone can hold against me here," Jaelyn retorted. "If no one knows me, no information I give matters or will do anything. And you guys are dressed kinda wierdly. That stuff hasn't been around for decades. What is it, the 00s?"
"Uh, no, it's 1982?" Beth answered, extremely confused, "At least last time I checked. And you're the one in the sci-fi getup, so you can't talk,"
"1982?! It's 2050! What are you talking about?! And this is no where near sci-fi. This is so 2030's style."
Finley narrowed her eyes. “You’re both wrong,” she responded. “It’s 2020.” She studied the two of them. “Did you time travel or something? Is that what happened here?”
"Time travel? No way. This was not what 2020 looked like. It was depressing. Everyone was gone. Does no one remember the Decimation?"
Finley was flabbergasted. “What on earth is the Decimation? Is that some kind of nickname for Dr.Octavius more or less destroying half of the human race?” So not time travel, then? What else could it possibly be?
"Well, yes…but it wasn't Doc Oc? He's like the weakest villain of all of them. No, it was Thanos. The big purple guy with a weird chin."
(i just want to wait for @charkieshark to reply cause there's a possibility they're working or doing schoolwork)
(okie doke!)
(lol i was still asleep)
“I have no idea what either of you are on about,” Beth said, narrowing her eyes at the two of them, “Who is Doc Oc? Thanos? The Decimation?”
(very mildly figured that, i was woken up earlier by a certain biscuit)
Jaelyn took a deep breath. "OK, so it pretty much seems that we're all from different universes? I mean I know it's something that can happen, because Dr Strange and a few other sorcerers have gone to different universes before. But they've used really advanced magic and I definitely don't know those spells. And it wasn't a spell that brought me here." She pulled her mask back in. "Hey Florp. Can you try and figure out what's going on here?"
Finley stared at her, blinking. “Who’s Florp and how can you talk to him across the dimensions?” she asked, thoroughly confused. “Also, Dr.Octavius may not have been physically strong, he was an evil genius. Plus, he stole the work of two very accomplished scientists, so.”
Beth stayed quiet, silently looking between the two spider-people. It made sense that they were from different universes, but it also sounded super fake. She didn't really believe it, and until she saw a flying car or a hoverboard, she wouldn't believe they were 40 years in the future.
"Florp is not a he, it's an it. It's not gendered. It's an AI, an artificial intelligence? And I'm not talking to it across dimensions, it's inbuilt into my suit. But maybe Florp can connect to one of the AIs in my parents' suits, or maybe even connect to one of my siblings' phones."
"How, exactly, is it going to connect to a phone?" Beth questioned, staring at the girl. For all she knew, phones looked like bricks with extendable sticks or were connected by wires. She was talking like she just stepped out of Star Trek, but somehow weirder. "And why is your artificial intelligence called Florp?"
"Well, you're from 1982, right? I wouldn't expect you to know what phones look like now. And it's called Florp because I called it Florp. I thought it was funny."
"My synapses cannot connect to F.R.I.D.A.Y. or E.D.I.T.H. Connections seem to have been severed. Unable to connect to Alisi, Myles or Trinitee either. However, I am detecting a very large, irregular surge of energy in the center of this city."
“So? Can it connect then?” asked Finley, looking vaguely annoyed. She heard shouting not too far away. “You should probably go somewhere else. You two can’t be out the open like this, unless you want to get kidnapped or something.”
"No, it can't. But it says there's an irregular surge of energy in the center of the city." Jaelyn paused, staring at the girl who had refused to name herself properly. "And you're up here too."
Finley snorted, all arrogance. “They know not to mess with me,” she responded. “You two, however, are fresh meat.” She shrugged. “I do have a spot we could hide for a little bit, if need be.”
"Alright, then," Beth said, "What are we waiting for?"
