Backstory (optional): Illusion was once a normal dragon, hiding in the city. But once the Overlord came and started to crystalize everything, he was hit by one of the Vengestone warriors and became shrouded in pink crystals. (Touching him won't crystalize you)
Traits: Stubborn, caring, kind

Name: Basilissa/Bea
Species: Serpentine/formerly human
Gender: Female
Backstory: Bea, formerly known as Bethany, used to be human. Shortly after Lloyd unleashed the Serpentine in season 1, Bethany stumbled upon a small group of them. She rescued a young Fangpyre girl from a crumbling building, but in her fright, the Fangpyre girl bit her. Bethany was then captured by the Serpentine and became their slave. During this time, she completed her transformation into a Serpentine and was given a snake name, Basilissa. Basilissa continued to be a slave for the Serpentine until they were locked underground. During this time in which the Serpentine decided to reform, Skales released Basilissa from bondage, but she was still outcasted. One young Constrictai, Eppa, was her only friend. Eventually, they fell in love, and Eppa asked Basilissa to marry him. She accepted. Despite the Serpentine's now-good relations with the surface world, Eppa and Basilissa's union still caused an uproar, and they were banished from the tribe. The couple wandered Ninjago for a time, during which Basilissa changed her name to Bea. Eventually, they drifted back to Ninjago City, where they got jobs working at Skylor's noodle shop.

(alright. I'm horrible at starters so it's gonna be pretty bad;-;)

The Overlord had just been defeated, and everyone was helping rebuild the Monastery. Unknowingly to them, a creature affected by the Overlord's crystals lay in wait in the canals of the city.

(lol, that's all right, I can work with it)

Bea hummed to herself as she bustled about the noodle shop. It wasn't open due to the damage caused to it by the Overlord's attack, but that was why she and Eppa were here instead of at the Monastery with Skylor. Someone had to stay behind for repair.

The creature heard the Serpentine's hums, walking over as quietly as he could which wasn't quiet at all due to the crystals that attached to his scales.

Bea stopped abruptly as her enhanced hearing picked up a strange sound; a sharp rattling. It was similar to the rattling the Vengestone warriors had made when they walked. The woman should know; she had spent three days avoiding that sound.

He squeaked softly as he sensed Bea stop. The creature stopped as well, body shaking.

Bea listened a moment longer, but the rattling had stopped; curious. Still, she could sense another presence nearby. Her heart pounded, but she did her best to stay calm. Careful not to make any sudden movements, she set down the bowl in her hands and called softly, "Eppa? Could you come here a minute?"

There came the sound of footsteps from the back room, and the Constrictai poked his head out a moment later.

"What is it?" He asked.

Taking that moment, the creature dashed past the open back entrance of the noodle shop, panting heavily while not caring about the noise his crystals made anymore.

(K, just checking. By the way, how big is Illusion? I know I keep asking a lot of questions, lol)

Both Serpentine whipped around at the sound of the rattling, and Bea snatched up a nearby kitchen knife. The couple exchanged a silent look before they began to creep toward the back exit. The sound was coming from the back alley and fading fast, as though the creature was fleeing. Knowing how limited their window of opportunity was, Bea made a dash forward, ignoring Eppa’s protests as she burst into the alley.

(honestly, just ask away. I'm a pretty talkative person once I've warmed up to you. I'm really anti-social lmao-)

Only his shadow was visible in the darkness of the alley. It seemed to be a medium sized creature, as if it wasn't fully grown. His outline was uneven and jagged, as if something was covering him.

(Okay, just making sure I’m not bugging too much)

Bea brandished her knife in front of her defensively even as Eppa ran out behind her, holding a knife of his own. He came up and squeezed her shoulder, and she tilted her head toward him in acknowledgement, but she didn’t look away from the shadow on the wall. From the angle, she guessed the creature was behind the large dumpster. She started to edge forward, but froze when she heard a soft sound; whimpering.

His long tail stuck out from where he was hiding, not noticing it sticking out. His hands were covering his head, as if trying to protect himself from an unknown presence. The creature's body was trembling, his breathing fast, shaky, and uneven, on the brink of hyperventilation.

Immediately, Bea lowered her knife, staring at the beast with a strange sense of awe and shock. It was a dragon; a Crystal dragon, if seemed, but not like the ones the Overlord had attacked with. This one was different; smaller; more… alive.

He slowly moved his hands, looking up at the Serpentine. Not knowing what they were, the dragon pushed himself as far back as he could, pressing his wings tight against his sides as he tried to make himself look as small as possible.

Eppa ventured up behind Bea as she stared.

“What is it?” He asked wonderingly, Bea shook her head.

“I’m not sure.” She responded, “A dragon… of some kind.”

On impulse, she sank to her knees and stretched her hand to the beast, making soft coaxing noises.

He whimpered, but slowly reached out a hand and took hers, keeping his grip limp and loose.

Bea felt her heart melt as the dragon put its massive claw in her hand. Behind her, Eppa flinched forward.

”Bea, be careful!” He warned, and the dragon scampered back, curling against the wall. Eppa crouched next to Bea, putting a hand on her shoulder as he eyed the beast warily.

He was back in the position they had found him in, trying to protect himself.

”It could be dangerous.” The Constrictai continued, “What if it turns you into a crystal beast, like those warriors did?“

Bea regarded the creature thoughtfully. It stared at her from beneath its wings, eyes wide and so, so innocent.

”I don’t think it will, Eppa.” The Serpentine woman said softly, not breaking eye contact with the dragon, “I think it’s scared. And it needs help.”
