"Hi and welcome to 'Averys mish mash of things' how can i help ya?"
"Hi and welcome to 'Averys mish mash of things' how can i help ya?"
[I thought the main events in the first book were set in China (at least that's where I'd assume New Beijing is). If Celeste is caring for Kai's father, that's where she'd be.]
true imma have him be in china rn//
(Can Lana start off in Italy??)
(Also just gonna warn y'all: I'm not a good rp'er and I have school from 7:45 to 3:15ish so I won't be on then.)
same,//
(ok, you may rp however you like so any character can be anywhere. Just at some point characters should meet each other)
(Just wanted to clarify that)
yeah, celeste still needs to respond to Avery//
(Can Lana start off in Italy??)
[You can place your character wherever. :) ]
Corvin gives the café manager a few extra univs as a tip and slides off of the stool. He passes several customers all seated or making their way into the café; most hardly looking ready to start the day. He climbs into his hover outside and starts off for work, hardly feeling ready to start the day himself.
(sorry it took so long for me to respond…. I'm going off from before)
Celeste looks around, hoping to find something worth it. She looks at a box.
"What's in there?" She asks Ave, pointing at the box.
"Uh, some old books, a dream catcher and some fabric. I think" he says peering into the box
"Could I possibly see the fabric?" Celeste asks, eagerly
"sure, i have blue, green, purple and silver" he said pulling the fabrics out
Ooooooo, silver…
"Could I see the purple and silver?" She says
"sure, here ya go" he says handing her le fabrics oh is someone going to buy from me?!
Corvin takes the tablet from his employer. The ID picture on the tablet shows an unfamiliar face with an overview of info; the face is of one who's story Corvin couldn't care two univs for. "He's out in the rural area you said?" He asks a clarifying question.
His employer nods and pulls in a draw from his cigarette. "Yeah."
Corvin's employer takes the tablet back from him and nods him off. "And if he won't transfer the univs, you know what to do."
Corvin nods and climbs into his hover, speeding off down the street….and then his first job of the day begins.
Lana stretched her legs out and downed a shot glass of bitter Italian coffee perfect for a bitter Italian teen. She slipped out of the cafe without paying, but she left a fairly generous tip for the poor waiter who had to deal with Evan all day. May the stars, aces, and spades curse his wormlike soul she thought to herself as she walked briskly through what was known as Rome in the second era, but was now little more than crumbling buildings and once-wealthy citizens now scouring for any Univs they could get their hands on, some making dilapitated booths and selling anything and everything. Lana tried to ignore them. She always tried to ignore them, but this time one caught her eye. A woman not much older than herself, with dark hair and a baby cradled in her arms.
"Please, bella," she begged, "Does anything catch your eye?" Lana looked at the table, her eyes slipping over all of the mismatched trinkets. One drew her gaze back, a small black ring.
"Do you want the ring?" The girl asked, and Lana nodded briskly. No use wasting time or words, not when they still had Nick captive. She needed to get off of Earth, and fast. She dropped the Univs on the table, and slipped the ring onto her middle finger, figuring that then she'd get to show it off to more people. It was made of a smooth, black stone. Regolith, it dawned on her, and then, Lunar. She turned back to the woman. Their wide eyes met, and the girl shook her head slowly, her eyes pleading.
"Please," the girl whispered.
Lana smirked and walked off to hijack a shuttle.
Celeste touches the fabric in awe. It's so beautiful!!
"How much is it?" She says sweetly.
"hm 1 univ. that okay?"
"How much would both be?"
"2 Univs" he gave a small smile
Taking out her small purse she puts 2 Univs on the counter.
"P-please. Please." The man stutters, but Corvin tells himself, as he has in countless times before, to not care. "Please, just…..I'll get it to him. I promise."
"You owe Kent over 200,000 univs. He's not going to take a request for more time very well."
The man closes his eyes and swallows loudly. He's clutching at the doorframe of his kitchen, and staying almost perfectly still. The gun in Corvin's hand might have something to do with that. "I'll get it."
Corvin raises his eyebrows at the man. "I promise," the man says. "I'll transfer it right now."
