Reason. "I just thought it'd be nice. Random act of kindness and all that." Really, Corvin doesn't know why he did it. He holds the brooch out on an open palm to the girl.

@Masked_Flowers

Celeste looks at the brooch. It is quite pretty. She reaches her hand out but then stops. But what if he really is playing me? Looking at the man again she sighs. Besides, everyone at the castle would wonder where I got it and then they would question me.
"As pretty as it is, I'm sorry, I can't except this" Celeste says calmly. She down at the mans feet again. Wait, I gave eye contact! He could know, he could report me. I can't be here if he knows I'm an android. She looks around to see if anyone else was looking at them and quickly, before the man could say anything she turns around and walks away. I never should've come out here today.

Feeling like a total idiot, Corvin stares in the direction the girl went for a moment or two. He puts the brooch into his jacket pocket and after a second continues his way through the market, trying to push the awkward encounter aside and start thinking again about his target.

@Masked_Flowers

Shaking off the horrible feeling inside of her Celeste quickly goes back to the castle. Did I do the right thing? She sighs. I need something to take my mind off of this.

Corvin quietly slips inside the apartment. His target shouldn't get home from work for another half hour from what Corvin has dug up on the nets, so there is time to laze. He looks around the cluttered and colorful living space; it's actually rather homey.
In his search he'd finally realized what he'd missed: he was having trouble finding his target because his target didn't want to be found. Skills like that hadn't been listed on his target's profile; clearly he'd learned some things on the run.
Corvin notices the very clean kitchenette. It reminds him strongly of his childhood; he can almost see his Mama stirring watery and weakly spiced soup in a small pot on the stove. Don't go there, Corvy. He chides himself. The memories aren't entirely unpleasant, he just misses those times. And those people.

Waiting by Kai's door Celeste hopes he opens it. Start to get impatient she starts tapping her foot. After a few minuets she then walks up to the door and knocks on it loudly.
"Kai? Kai, I know you're in there! Open up!" She says loudly. Kai then opens up the door, giving her a death stare.
"What?" He says coldly.
"We need to talk," she looks around, "In private."
Kai starts closing the door when suddenly Celeste stops it, "Now. We need to talk now." Sighing, Kai opens the door, letting Celeste in.
Then, grabbing his hand, Celeste pulls Kai over to a chair in his room and pushes him down onto it.
Raising one of his eyebrows at her Kai says, "You're a little pushy today."
Celeste looks at him, "You're gonna want to sit down for this," she then quietly says, "Kai… I think… I think your father has Letumosis." Kai's face goes white.

(Also, sorry about not posting for a while, I got a little bit of writers block and I had no idea what to do with Celeste. Hopefully what I just posted gets the rp going a little bit)

(Hey, it's okay. It was unofficially'my turn so I should have posted sooner than I did. I like how you've tied in a canon plot thread, it'll help the story I'm sure, and it puts it into context.
I just hope the others return.)

The whirr and beep of the antique lock alerts Corvin to his target's location.
Ain't no place more dangerous than your own home, buddy. Corvin darkly smiles and stands so he'll be behind the front door when it opens.

He hears a woman's high pitched laugh as the door opens and he frowns. Bringing home a friend? He clenches the handle of his gun a little tighter when the low voice of his target speaks up in reply to the laugh.

"It isn't much."

The woman: "Ah, it's fine." They step into the apartment together, and Corvin can see the back of his target clearly to make a positive ID. He pushes the door shut, and the two whirl around, both sets of eyes going wide at the unexpected sight of Corvin. He holds his gun at his side but keeps it ready. "Sorry to break up the party, but…no, actually….this," he gestures at the couple with his empty hand. "This needed to not happen."

@Masked_Flowers

"What do you mean Letumosis?! He can't have Letumosis. He's the emperor and-" Kai starts.
Celeste cuts him off, "Kai, I ran a test and everything. He has it, the plague." Shaking his head Kai sits there in disbelief.
"No, no, no, NO!" He shouts. Celeste then walks over to him, kneels down, then hugs him.
"I'm sorry," She whispers.
Letting go she walks away and out of the room. I don't care if I'm an android, that felt… real.

@Peter_Duende language

"Now, sweet," Corvin gestures to the woman with his free hand. "Go to the bedroom and shut the door." The woman, sobbing the whole way, complies.

Corvin turns to his target and lifts his gun. “I believe you know why I’m here.” The man falls back onto the ratty couch in fear, mouth open in surprise.

"I-I…I'm afraid I don't. Who are you?"

@Masked_Flowers

Celeste looks over to the next member and motions them to come forward. Why are they forcing us to do this? She scans the member.
No sickness
None of these people have the plague. And besides, the emperor could've gotten it from anywhere… right? She goes threw a few more people and still nothing. Just cause the emperor is sick doesn't mean we should have to scan every person in this building. She goes threw a few more. I mean like it would be rare if someone here got the plague. And it would defiantly be rare if a…… She freezes. No. It can't be. The member she scanned smiles.

They're lunar.

@Peter_Duende language

(I like the idea that was presented in the books of lunars escaping to earth and going undercover; you'll possibly never know where you'll come across them, if you even notice that you do.)

Corvin slightly grips the handle of his gun tighter. Every now and then someone would try to hire him for "hate-assassinations," but he would rarely accept those missions…unless of course he could name his price.

"Do you owe Karvan Kar over a thousand units?"

"I-" The man raises his hands higher. "I don't even know who that is."

Corvin sees truth in his target's eyes. He was certain, is certain that he's pointing the gun at who he was hired to, but…..'things just got a lot more difficult.'
