"I know. I'm more like yours, don't you think?" Ashpaw went over to the shelf and ate a couple more poppy seeds.
"I know. I'm more like yours, don't you think?" Ashpaw went over to the shelf and ate a couple more poppy seeds.
"Humm, probably." Taking down some selfheal, she walked over to the entrance, "I'm going to give these to Amber, just wait." Then she slipped out of the den.
"Okay." Ashpaw sat down where he was and yawned, closing his eyes to give them a short rest.
A few cats entered the den, but said nothing. The white she-cat quickly entered the den again, but this time with another mouse, "And this ones for you." She purred, "You work to hard."
"Oh, er, thanks." Ashpaw smiled weakly and began eating the mouse. She's probably right… I've been stress shedding.
As she backed away form him, Winter turned to Blaze and helped him up. They both needed to stretch their legs, they've been cramped in this den for moons.
Ashpaw finished the mouse and began grooming himself. Yeah, I'm definitely stress shedding… His fur came out too easily, so he decided to just let it be for the time being.
(Should someone come in a do something? Maybe Blizzard or Lynxfur?)
(Idk, I guess so?)
Winter was gone for quite a while, there was no telling where she brought Blaze. Sitting there silently, only in the accompany of Lyon, Ashpaw looked out the den with a concerned look, should he go out or stay with Lyon? He never liked going out alone, without the accompany of Winter he felt like a mouse.
"What are you doing sitting there idle?" Came a voice from outside the den. It was so recognizable, a voice Ashpaw could never forget. Lynxfur.
(Brb for a bit.. maybe)
Ashpaw's ears pricked up, and he turned towards Lynxfur. "Um, I-I was just… waiting for Winter to come back. I couldn't just leave Lyon here alone, could I?"
He shook his head, "Are clan cats that soft? Winter has been the only healer for moons and yet now that there is another do you think the other cats would care if you 'left one all alone in this big bad world'?"
(U turn)
(Frick I though I responded)
"No, we protect the ailed cats in our clan. If another clan were to attack, who would they go for first but the weak? Kits, elders, and sick and hurt cats are the most prone to attack, so we protect them."
"And who do you think will attack us? Your little clan doesn't even know we exist." He fluffed out his black striped tail and circled Ashpaw, "This isn't a clan Ashpaw, so stop acting like it is."
"I-I'm just used to clan life, sir. I don't know any other way. We have the warriors' code, and ranks, and all sorts of things that keep the clan from falling apart."
"Yes I know, but keep the clans codes out of this camp, it will only get you killed here." Taking a seat next to Lyon, he glanced down at him then back to Ashpaw.
Ashpaw looked away, wrapping his tail tighter around himself. "Y-Yes, sir… what is the code for the camp? Any rules I need to learn?"
"A few, just a few. Everyone here wa a loners or kitty-pets, but most of us are rogues." He said, glancing down at Lyon again, "Clan boards are strictly off limits, we have no need in interacting with them or crossing their territory makers, only unless we are low on prey. Cats can only travel to the two-legs place if searching for new members and spreading news, under the guidance of Blizzard of course. For espionage or traitors, the penalty is death. These are a few."
"Death seems a bit harsh for simply going to the clans' borders…. Will I ever be allowed to go home?"
"What? I never said crossing borders means death." Shaking his head, he answered, "I can not say if you'll get to go home, that is for Blizzard to decide."
"I can't stay here forever. Surely you know that. I'm not essential here, you have Winter. But I'm needed at home. My mentor's out, and she was counting on me. N-Now I'm stuck here, and I've let down the whole clan. Who knows? If they come looking for me, they won't look upon your camp favorably."
"But they don't know your here." he said quickly, getting up and towering over the black tom, "And they will never know your here, they may come but they wont pick a fight with a entire camp of rogues."
Ashpaw cowered beneath Lynxfur, feeling remarkably small next to the large cat. "W-We have many reckless cats in our clan who would try…" Please… just let me go home…
"They will try but that's just suicide." He said, glancing out of the den. "Lets hope the Riverclan cats aren't that stupid."
