(Hi! Sorry I disappeared - life got CRAZY all of a sudden!)
"Cor," she whispered, kissing his cheek back.
(Hi! Sorry I disappeared - life got CRAZY all of a sudden!)
"Cor," she whispered, kissing his cheek back.
(It's ok. Glad you're back though.)
Cor chuckled softly and held her closer, hoping that they could just stay like this all night.
Nora could feel herself getting sleepy. She had had a long cycle… a long couple of cycles, actually. And here, in his arms, she suddenly felt like falling asleep.
Cor blinked tiredly with a soft smile as he looked down at Nora. He wasn't sure what time it was, but he was pretty exhausted over everything that had been happening lately. And he knew Nora usually had her hands full with taking care of Bit and not to mention running the club… “Do you want me to go?” he asked gently, not wanting to disturb her.
"No," Nora mumbled, leaning her head against his neck, her eyes fluttering closed briefly. "Stay."
Cor felt his face warm but nodded at her request. “Alright. I’ll stay.” he assured her, feeling his heart racing. “Do you want to stay here or… would you rather move to your room?” he asked as his lines flickered pink.
"Stay here," Nora murmured softly, watching his lines flicker.
“Ok.” Cor smiled softly, letting out a small sigh of relief as his lines went back to normal. He nuzzled against her slightly and shifted against the couch for them both to be more comfortable.
Nora could feel herself starting to fall asleep. Struggling to keep her eyes open, she eyed the city streets down below and vaguely wondered what was going on down there.
Cor felt like he was about to fall asleep at any moment as he looked at Nora. He shook his head slightly in an attempt to stay awake a little longer and spotted a blanket on the back of the couch. Deciding not to make the same mistake again, he reached over to grab it before pulling the blanket over both of them.
Yes, Bit said. Nora smiled up at it and curled up more securely under the blanket, rubbing her fingers against its soft fabric. This had been Kaira's, and she had almost forgotten she had it.
Cor smiled at Bit's approval and finally let his eyes close. "Good night, Nora." he hummed contentedly, lightly kissing her temple as he held her comfortably.
"Good night, Cor," Nora breathed, letting her eyes close as well.
Cor hummed softly, letting himself fully relax as he started to fall asleep with Nora still in his arms.
Nora fell asleep as well, curled up safely in his arms.
With Nora in his arms, Cor slept more soundly than he had since taking that job that got him and Aroura into this mess. He didn't exactly regret taking it because of all that they uncovered. If they hadn't found out about the remnants of Clu’s army… Though they still didn't know who hired him or what they wanted it for but he was determined to find out and stop them.
(Sure!)
Nora stirred lightly, dredging herself up from the depths of sleep. For a moment, all was well; then, suddenly, something seemed to click in her mind and her eyes flew open. Where was she? This wasn't her bed, her blankets.
Then she saw Cor and remembered: last night. All was well.
Cor was still soundly asleep, far too comfortable to move as he kept one arm around Nora’s waist.
Nora adjusted slightly so she was more comfortable and rested her head against Cor's chest, closing her eyes.
Cor’s fingers twitched as he held her close, slowly starting to wake. His eyes barely opened in his sleepy state but he could still recognize that pink blur as Nora.
Nora noted Cor's fingers twitching; passing it off as him dreaming, she curled closer to him, wondering vaguely what time it was.
Cor let out a soft moan as he finally managed to open his eyes… at least halfway. “Hey.” he smiled tiredly as he looked down at her.
Cor's voice startled Nora; she sat up sharply, her hand automatically going to the baton at her hip. Then she seemed to realise what she was doing and relaxed, twitching the blanket back over herself.
"Hey," she said, settling back down against his chest.
