"Yeah. Let's just say I never saw you ever. Won't be good for me to turn in someone who almost robbed me." She said and smiled. "Also I wasn't kidding when I asked if you needed fire help, duel force." Aura said and walked away down the path and put up her hood. Maybe she would find somewhere else to hide out. Or find passage on the first boat she found and go wherever.
Vincent fluttered to Tessa's side, as the fire bender walked off, the bird gave her a look, Tessa sighed, "Look Vince I can't just leave my life of crime! I wouldn't have found you with out it, I would be giving up on Mom and Dad I can't just leave to go actually learn how to be this weird hero every one wants me to be." The bird seemed to roll it's eye's, "But Vince I-I can't, you know I can't. I'm not strong enough to leave it all behind, this is who I am, It's who I chose to be! I'd become a target if I go with her, people have been searching for me for the past 15 years and I don't want to live my life under what some old guys think I should be doing with my life." Vince gave her another look, A look that a mother bird might give her young when they refuse to jump from the nest and fly. " But… I'm hiding, I'm hiding from a world that might need me, I'm hiding from everything aren't I… I'm refusing to fly." And with that her mind was made up. "Hey wait! Stranger fire lady! " Vincent also nipped her ear signalling that all those looks had simply been 'I'm hungry give me food'
The ring of the distant bell tower evicted Toby from his stupor of boredom. Right! He considered, the bell tower was in the center of the plaza just outside the palace. It was the best place for folks to train. Maybe he could watch. It's not like he was good enough to practice with them, surely he'd just make a fool of himself.
After the lengthy walk, Toby sat himself on the side of a spoutless fountain to watch the trainees.
Kalang was doing pretty good, and almost had the hang of it. Finally, her the tips of her fingers were covered in ice.
"Yes!!!" she exclaimed with a smile, as she carefully began to shift around in a fighting stance, trying to perfect moving around without breaking them.
He looked over to a girl, and he laughed a little at her reaction to the small success. He then remembered he himself probably couldn't do that, and sheepishly shut up.
Her brother walked up to her, careful not to disturb her while she was waterbending. He didn't want a repeat of two weeks ago. But Katang already knew that Sattara was behind her.
"Hey, what do you need?" She asked while she was in concentration.
"I was wondering if I could train with you? Maybe learn some stuff?" He asked with a smile.
"Of course!!" She stated with a smirk as she flung her ice claws off toward her brother, but a little toward the left.
Then she waved her brother over and started helping him train.
At this point, Toby had been wondering how to get her attention. I mean, I'm awful at jokes. He considered falling down on purpose, or something, but eliminated that as simply too embarrassing. When the girl's brother showed up, he just opted to sit still and try to forget about this interest at all. The last thing he wanted to do was ruffle feathers over something as trivial and superficial as a.. not a crush, I hardly know her, just an interest. Get to know her, maybe just as a friend, too.

Aura stopped and turned. "Yeah? What's up?" She asked with a smile. Not knowing the conversation the girl just had with her bird.
Tessa shuffled her feet slightly and handed Vincent a peace of meat, "I-I think I'm going to take you up on the offer."
"Hmm are you now? Alright." Aura said and smiled then looked around at the abandoned path area. "Are you sure you're ready?"
Tessa laughed, "Nope, but I never will be, might as well leave now before I change my mind."
"Alright let us go somewhere safe so you don't light the forest on fire." Aura said and pulled her through the forest and to a beach.
Tessa left the safety of the forest hesitantly, but she fallowed the girl, her new teacher. "It weird I've never really officially learned any bending, It's all from stolen scrolls."
"Yeah, scrolls are great and all but it's better to see rather than just read." She said and smiled. "So do you know only air and Earth?"
Tessa nodded, "I can do a little bit of water but not much." As she spoke she demonstrated lifting a small orb of water up from the ocean before plopping it back down.
"Ok well that's cool triforce." Aura said nodding then grabbed her hand. "Hold this." She said then put a flame in her hand.
Tessa balanced the fire on the palm of her hand, "Like this?"
"Yeah. Just keep it there for awhile. If you can try to focus some energy or whatever into it and make it bigger?" Aura said, though not really knowing what she was doing.
Tessa focused on adding fuel to the fire in her hand, the flame exploded and Tessa dropped it. The flame vanished, "Oops.."
"That's alright." Aura said and smiled then sat down on the sand. "Fire is wild and seemingly alive. It is one of the hardest to control people say. It has the most chance of injury. Though if you calm down enough and just think, focus your feelings and energy for a second you could control and pull the heat and flames out of thin air." Aura said and created a small flame in her hand that got bigger.
Tessa did as she was told, first all she felt was the growing head ache from the lack of sleep. Then there was a small spark and a flame flickered to life over her palm, "Like this?"
"Exactly." Aura said and smiled.
Once her brother had gotten down most of basic waterbending, he waved his sister good-bye and walked off, leaving her to train by herself again. She found that if she hummed while she trained, she had a better time concentrating. So, she started to hum while she trained, in silence.
(Soo how are all of the characters going to meet up)
(Toby and Kalang are both in the North Pole, so they're going to meet soon. But yeah, how are all of the characters going to meet up?)
"Hey," Toby finally called out.
