HARRIET: “Good. This development brought up a lot of questions that aren’t smart to ask her family, even if one of them trusts you, Levi.”
HARRIET: “Good. This development brought up a lot of questions that aren’t smart to ask her family, even if one of them trusts you, Levi.”
LEVI: Under light of recent discoveries, I'm thinking that there might be a possibility that Caleb isn't Samuel's biological son. [Decides to wait and see if the letters confirm the suspicion.] "I'm not a rookie, Harriet!" [Aggravated by what she implied.]
HARRIET: [a little shocked at the accusation.] “I didn’t say you were.” [shaking her head] Poor Caleb. If Johnathan knew how to make a soul-bind before he died then maybe whatever happened to Samuel, and maybe his mother too, could be more a crime of passion then business and revenge. [walks into the room] ”You guys did put down salt, right?”
DEAN: "Yeah, we did; we're not amateurs, Harry." [Carefully steps over the line into the safety of the room he shares with his brother.]
SAM: [Sets the box down on a desk.]
LEVI: God, I hope I'm wrong.
HARRIET: ”Yeah, I know. I would just rather be safe if I accidentally drag someone’s name through the mud. Don't want Samuel or Caleb to hate me if I bring up something that they don't want to hear.”
SAM: "Don't want to risk ticking them off any further."
DEAN: "With Johnathan we don't really have a choice; he's going to be angry either way."
LEVI: [Nods in agreement as he reads one of the letters.]
Dearest Johnathan, these past few months without you have been painful. I miss the warmth of your smile, the touch of your skin against mine. It pains me to be married to Samuel….
LEVI: "The marriage between Samuel and Carolyn was arranged."
HARRIET: ”Well, let's just see what we can find first. We may have gotten this whole situation wrong.” [winces at Levi’s statement] ”Ouch. That's never a good thing. Wonder who suffered more from that.” That doesn't change my theory about Caleb though.
LEVI: "Carolyn, most likely."
SAM: [On his laptop to see if he can't find anything on Carolyn.]
DEAN: [Also reading through the letters for any clues.]
HARRIET: [shrugs] ”You’re probably right, but how would you feel if the woman you loved was forced to marry your business partner? For all we know Samuel and Johnathan were like brothers. Wouldn't you be hurt too?” [picks up a letter] ”And then throw Caleb into the mix… I doubt he knew about this.”
SAM: "So get this. Carolyn Adams was wed to Samuel Jacobs December 20th, 1889. Their marriage was not only meant to mend relations between the two families, but also because Carolyn was pregnant with Caleb, who was born eight months later."
DEAN: "So, the Adams family and the Jacobs had a Hatfield-and-McCoy-like-feud?" [Eyebrow raised with interest.]
LEVI: "That's possible; land disputes between families were actually fairly common back then. The Hatfield-McCoy feud is only remembered because of how bloody it was, and because it went to the Supreme Court."
SAM: [Nods, his hair flopping about as he does.] "I'll see if I can't dig anything else up."
(Im gonna edit that….)
HARRIET: [winces] ”So, Doctor Phill, how do we do a paternity test on a couple of ghosts?” [raises a brow] ”I’m sorry, ”Hatfield and McCoy feud”? I must have missed that history lesson.”
(Edit is done! Also, if I say that I'm gonna edit something, please hold off on your post….)
(oops! Sorry! I’ll fix mine.)
(done. Again, sorry)
DEAN: "While I just love that portion of history, we don't have time for a history lesson."
LEVI: [Looks up from the letter that he was reading to look at Dean.] "You don't have to be a sarcastic prick about it dad…. Even though you're right; now isn't the time for a history lesson on the Hatfield-McCoy feud."
SAM: [Chuckles at this.]
((It's fine…. Somehow I just knew that some new rules would be thought of as we move along with this. Lol))
HARRIET: [rolls her eyes] ”It’s alright, Levi. Something tells me that’s just his default setting. Not to be rude to your mom but can I ask what she saw in him? Cause I can't figure it out.”
DEAN: [Looks at Harriet.] "I'm charming, funny, attractive, have a great body, and am great in the sack; what's not to love?" [Smirking.]
LEVI: "Tmi, dad, tmi."
HARRIET: [rolls her eyes with a smirk] ”I'm not going to argue any of that, but from what I’ve seen; you're also, an arrogant trigger-happy hot-head with an innate ability to tick people off and probably uses your battle scars as a pickup line in a bar.” [raises a brow] ”Oh and by the way: not gonna happen.”
(I feel like I should clarify; this is just Harriet being sassy. I have no dislike towards Dean personally.)
(It's fine. As you'll notice from watching the show, he totally can be a trigger-happy hot-head at times! Lol)
(whew! I did notice a bit of that)
DEAN: "Never said that it was, sweetheart." [Was also looking through the letters.]
LEVI: "So Harriet, you have the same suspicion that I do? That Caleb is actually Johnathan's son; I've been thinking this since we found out about the love letters, but didn't want to say anything until it was confirmed."
HARRIET: [nods] ”Yeah, since Sam said who the letters were between. And I’ve been wondering about the soul-bind and how the MoL play into this. I mean where did Caleb get the ring from? A part of me keeps going over the possibility that it was handed down. But from which father? The one who raised him or the one he didn't know about.”
LEVI: "I'm thinking that the ring was Samuel's."
SAM: "We'll have to figure out the Men of Letters connection as we go along with everything else."
