It's like a longneck but way shorter. Its body and legs are about the same size as a cow. It is covered in reddish fur, has dog claws, teeth like a human, and very friendly.

Kinda, I also had two reasons behind it.

1. It sounds a bit like Cerebus
2. It also sounds like Rebeus (Hagrid) and Hagrid loves magical creatures.

Also, would it be an omnivore?

Yeah. It wouldn't exactly have human teeth. More like dog teeth in the front, and deer kind of teeth in the back. So it's teeth are not exactly human, but they resemble human teeth more than anything else.
