I just wanna know what ya'll's favorite platonic relationship dynamics are. I just like friendships and self made families more then romantic relationships. feeling like romance fills everything.
Yeah, I'm aromantic (and ace).

@Leshierian

Yeah, Bros are freakin great. I should know I got one and I am one, though he's seven and I'm fifteen. we still have fun playing video games together and stuff.

@The-Magician group

That one group of seemingly misfits that playfully fight with each other and hurl insults at each other, but they genuinely have each other’s backs and actually care about their feelings and have a great time together! (Aka my friend group)

@Leshierian

Two friends who treat each other like diaries. They vent about everything, nothing is out of bounds, and they validate each other in the process. They know things about each other no one else does. They have both been through trauma, maybe not the same trauma, but they both comfort each other even when they don't fully understand.

I like those friendships born in fire. Some rowdy misfits get mad and some other rowdies just, "Yeehaw let's be a gang of big time misfits that ride or die forever," you know? lol

I LOVE huge found family stuff. Like, complex relationships between a ton of people, who all have their own opinions, and are well-written, and just. Yes. Bonus points of not everyone gets along with each other, but they're all on the same team regardless.

Found-family, especially when it's a parent-child relationship. Especially-especially when the "parent" is a weathered, jaded old soul who finds new hope and purpose in caring for the sweet, optimistic, literal angel "child" <3 (I know it's a cliché at this point but I still love it ^^)
Also!! Human+nonhuman friendships, like a human that saves an animal or monster from danger and then the animal/monster follows them around and protects them in return. Love those XD

@RedTheLoveless

Strong bonds with extended family. I like seeing family reunions like mine; everyone happy and laughing and enjoying the presence of each other. The kids gathering around the table to play card games. The adults invading the kitchen for snacks, wine/beer, and light chatter. Everyone coming together to celebrate life with each other.

@Oakiin

YESSS!!!! my family reunions are my favorite time of year, I think these need more positive representation! They always get such a bad rap

@Leshierian

A mother and son relationship, like a mom who loves her son and wants the best for him, like getting him to make friends. A son who is socially anxious or just anti-social so he leans on his mom for support in tough situations. He also has no friends. (like me and my mom)
