Is your main character on the frontlines of the fight, or the sidelines? Example: are they a Luke Skywalker, or a Jyn Erso? The hero that everyone sees, or the hero that no one sees?

Well, while Endel and Elyzabeth are frontline heroes in each others' eyes, they're really sideline characters for everyone else in the world.
Most are Jyn Ersos, because I absolutely LOVE Jyn Erso, hence my username, although I have some Doctor Aphras, because she’s amazing!
Oops I spelled it wrong GOING TO FIX ITTT
Definitely front lines; too proud to let anyone else fight for her.
Frontline. Fights everyone. Wanted in her own country and the country trying to destroy her country. Just way to in to it.
The characters in my first series are on the sidelines to everyone else. The main character in my second series starts out much the same, but then becomes a front line fighter towards the end. Just out of curiosity, why the poll? Is it also just for curiosity? :D
Yeah, I'm just curious about which option most writers choose.
Jyn Erso for sure. Thinks it's the only effective way to win a war.
Connor is both, he fights up front, but he keeps his actions on the downlow.
My character has different personalities, so her up side would be a Luke Skywalker and her down side would be a Jyn Erso.
My protagonist is more of an Erso at first, but becomes a Skywalker over time
