I have a villain character that is the God of Chaos and Order but I'm struggling to find actual noticeable use of his abilities. Like, for example, his brother is the God of Life and Death and he can gift life or take it. That's quite simple to show.
My villain is the ruler of a country and he abuses his powers to slowly let it spiral into chaos and despair. (he is kinda immortal and does that wherever he goes)
I would like him to use his chaos ability directly on my protagonist so that they are scared to face him directly and try to do more of a sneak attack.

So I guess what I am asking is if anyone can think of a way to show off his chaos energy and I also take ideas for his "order" effect but it might not actually be in the finished story. (still good to know who he is tho)

I was thinking something like, if you're in a room with him he can make you argue with your best friend. But I am not sure if he needs to use words himself or just, you know, magically send chaos waves or something haha

Any thoughts (or questions) are very much appreciated!

ps: this is my first post here so I'm sorry if I am doing something wrong u_u

Ordered chaos? Like a military unit of destruction?

Thanks for your reply! :)
That is actually already something he has! He is the ruler of a country so he does have full control of the military there. And he does abuse this power too… but I was more looking for something that he does himself. Like, you'd be afraid to face him alone in a room.

Mind games. Precision to cause distress.

Oooh I like that idea a lot! Maybe he could even cause some sort of hallucinations…

I think invisible brain waves sending people into chaos could actually work! Makes me think of those sim cards In the Kingsman movie which when activated, make people uncontrollably fight.

That's a good point and I had almost forgotten about that movie! (it is great!)
So maybe when you're alone with him he could make you feel distressed and lose sight of your goal and when you're with someone else you could end up fighting each other, even physically.

Maybe the other side of his ability can cause arguments to die down and smooth conflicts instead of fueling them…

Thank you very much for your ideas! I will keep playing around with these thoughts but still welcome any other inputs if anyone has another idea! :)
