Also is there any character I've mentioned that you'd like to know more about? I have quite a few if you'd like to know about one I haven't mentioned yet as well.

@InstaOnly

That's nice, not every story needs to have a villain right away or one that is obvious!
Like I said Revi is an incomplete soul, but I didn't really say why. Revi was originally one of three kitsune to create my world as a safe haven for those unwelcome among their own like he and two other kitsune were. Kitsune are known to be able to shift either through pure power or illusions. His story has been forgotten as the Tale of Foxes was changed over time to only have a good and bad fox as a cautionary tale, abandoning the story of his fall to the fox who became marked as cruel and corrupted in this changed version.
Time passes and his soul is split and becomes incomplete through two failed attempts to bring him back. The first time was Oridone trying to bring him back in hopes she can ask for guidance and act as siblings like they once did, failing as she realized the rules they had created for the world kept Revi from fully being there. In fact every once in a while she slips up and calls him Jack, the name he preferred wanting to leave his life before this world's creation behind. His soul is now represented by a necklace with a gem on the end, and despite being wise at times and showing that he only really trusts Oridone he doesn't remember his past. The second half of his soul was taken by an attempt by Aaron, being far more cynical even when acting kind because of lacking some of his personality in exchange for keeping his memories. This half goes by Jack and keeps Aaron's magic in check, since Aaron is hosting half of his own soul as well as Corru's which results in more magic.
To sum it up Revi is one of two halves to his own soul. One half with Oridone and the other with Aaron as they both went to seek help from the wiser. Throughout his arc he helps each side in some way but is unaware of this due to his soul being split. About halfway or towards the end of the story Jack should get a hold of Revi's necklace, resulting in a complete soul that it purely his won. After such event he must choose which side to ally with.

I think I have a sketch of him somewhere….

@InstaOnly

This was in Revi's history on my pages:
Basically a failed reincarnation of the dead. With no memory of his past life but having a strong feeling of knowing certain things or entities the ghost follows the main group, and even with his unconcerned view of what's happening he does show a wisdom that he shares. Though some disregard it as nothing the black eyes with white irises rather than a faded palette show he is not fully there. A fact many gloss over until they come to learn he has no apparent flame, the worlds version of a soul, and instead seems linked to a necklace he wears at all times. This is because his soul was forced to take a physical form as a spectre rather than resting, making his personality made up of only half of the soul he split in his unremembered past. As far as he knows he's always known Oridone and will appear by her side when he shows himself, demonstrating loyalty being one of the few she trusts with secrets. As Damaged Designs progresses he has the chance to take back the part of his flame that was lost, showing himself to be quite powerful with the presence of his past guiding him.

@Shadow_Knight group

Hey! On your Welcome to Artir? Arter? Aiter? Whatever the name is. Would it be OK if I was using Ben as a ruse to get Aaron to My gang of misfits (Flyn, and other characters I'm trying to develop.) It's fine if it's not.

@InstaOnly

(That's fine! I wasn't sure how to have Ben act anyways. If that's what we're going to do I'll probably take his form down or mark it as not being used. I also tried to set up a private OOC chat for questions on the RP so tell me if that worked….)

@InstaOnly

You're welcome lol
ALSO LET ME GO TRY THE PRIVATE CHAT THING AGAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNN
I'm going to go find that tutorial on private chats here I saw earlier .-.

@InstaOnly

Actually, I added your name and I added you to the list(I finally got it to work adding only two names for now) but I don't know if it'll work. Your name doesn't have an @ symbol so I guess tell me if you got it.

@InstaOnly

Hmmmm…… I guess if I don't figure this out we could set one up publicly somewhere…

@InstaOnly

Same. Looking at my notes here I’ve completely changed how some of this stuff works. Sorry I’ve disappeared off the face of Notebook ._.

@Kinarymo

Beings made of shadows, ey? 😶
Here's mine

Rin isnt exactly made of shadows, he's a daemon created from stolen magic that has been sealed inside a sword. He's the corrupted version of a Morphidae (specie i came up with)

@InstaOnly

Oh wowie, I keep forgetting I made this.
Rin seems so well thought out with how filled out his pages are! My pages mostly only have the basics and the rest is on character sheets or other sites.
Forgive me if it's on one of the tabs since I'm sorta multi-tasking rn, but how was the sword used to create him?

@Kinarymo

The daemons i came up with can only be created by splicing a Morphidae Soul (specifically, separating the Core from the magic outer layer.) Think peaches, where the pulp is the magic and the seed is the Core.
The Core holds the life force and all the so called genetic info of the creature, while the magic is… everything else (as in, its body and its ability range).
To make a daemon, you would have to separate the magic and the core, and then seal all of that magic in an object, so that even after destroying the core it will stay in place (the core is the one generating and controlling the whole magic layer, so destroying it would automatically make the magic dissipate). By locking it into a "tiny container" and without a core to shape it, the magic eventually takes the form of a twisted and corrupted creature, with no mind of its own. It's raw magic, no brain, just power

So basically, the sword acts as a stabilizer for Rin; a fake core if you will. Without the sword his essence would dissipate into thin air. All of that magic needs something to control it, and since his original core was taken away (and probably destroyed) a long time ago, he only has the sword to keep him together. If the sword is ever destroyed, he ceases to exist

I probably over explained it, idk if you understood any of that :'))

@InstaOnly

Don't worry, I ramble and over explain things a lot. I understood all of that, and it's a very neat and well thought out process! How are souls represented in your world to where one could separate the magic from the core, physically or is it just a concept they can grasp? Mine are simply flames that differ in appearance based on health, magic, personality, etc. but with very specific rules in place. Is there any magic specifically centered around souls aside from the creation of those like Rin?
Also heads up I'm going to change the thread title slightly just so it's not in all caps.
