Ashton Grey sat in the back of a Tavern in the middle of the woods. It was almost completely empty besides the tender. Ash looked at his cup, and wanted to cry. A war had just ended,
and 911,549 people died that winter but only one deserved it, and they still lived.
Ash threw his full cup across the room. “Why!?” He roared with tears. He put his head in his hand and just sobbed. His shoulders shook as he cried. The bar tender rolled her eyes, and grabbed a bucket of water, slumping over to the stained wall. “I don’t get paid enough.” She sighed walking pass Ash. Ash composed himself, and sat straighter, pulling coins from a pouch in his bag. He tossed them on the table and went to leave. “Not so soon Ash.” A hooded figure said sitting by the door. They held out their arm to stop him from leaving. “Sit.” The figure said. Ash was about to ignore the command, but then he saw the long dagger glint. He didn’t want to take the chance. He sat down and looked at the figure, trying to figure out who they may be. They had a familiar Aura.

“Ash, you seemed troubled by me.” They said as a statement. Not a question. He stiffened, only people with dark magic could read thoughts. Or at least that’s what he thought. The figure chuckled. “No need to be alarmed. I’m harmless.” They began. “You may want to follow me.” They said standing. Ash hesitated, but the tender’s eyes widened when the figure turned and left. He couldn’t well ignore that, it was either good, or really really bad.

Ash had followed in toe with the figure for over an hour. Then they stopped, on top of a hill, Ash ran into them. He pulled back to apologize, but caught his voice in his throat when he looked over the hill. He couldn’t breath. There was thousands upon thousands of people. All dead. He dropped to his knees, and began shaking. “Why are you showing me this?” He asked tears dripping from his chin. The figure only stared hard into the distance. Then with a small choke of a noise they turned. “Because you weren’t broken. You were hurt, but not broken.” They said starring over the hill. Ash blinked, and went to stand, but he couldn’t move. The figure turned, the hood dropping. A woman stood there with navy blue hair, her face natural, but her eyes seemed to glow. She was holding her arm out. “Ash, a lot of people were hurt, almost all. Except the one that deserved it. You know who that is don’t you?” She asked sighing. He nodded his head tears dripping from his eyes. “And you seemed unable to just finish them off. Why is that?” She sighed. Ash gulped. “Because I loved them.” He cried. He shook quietly and let the tears keep coming. “Everyone thinks you a failure. Me? I think your merely a person.” She said stepping to him. She put a tentative hand on his face. “And you think you can rule the world.” She said pulling her hand away. He spoke quietly. “Who are you?” A smile came upon her lips. “Just a nobody trying to show everybody their regrets and mistakes.” She said softly. “Have a good day Ash.” She said walking away. Ash felt the weird force loosen, and he stood, looking out over the hill, his hair lightly blowing in the soft wind.

XD No problem! You'll have to wait a bit, but I'm willing to do more of one person's characters. I'm just going first come first served.

Aurelius watched in horror as the men drug away his irreplaceable partner. Nox growled and grunted, but her snot was locked closed with metal clasps. The strong men stabbed the dragon with sharp spears, and laughed every time she whimpered. Auri felt sick. If he revealed his cover now, he’d be doomed. He bit his lip to keep from throwing up. These men were so cruel. He pulled out his sword, ready to pounce. But he had to wait until the leader of the group was gone. So he sat behind the bushes waiting.

“My dear men! Today is a good day for us! We have captured a lovely beast! Raise your swords in honor of this moment!” The leader shouted standing on top of the cage Nox was in. He picked up his own sword and raised it high. “WE SHALL SLAY THIS WRETCHED BEAST!” The man shouted. Auri stood and ran down the hill without hesitation. “LET HER GO!” He screamed running through the crowd. The slayers were all out of sorts from drinking, they were stunned. Auri sliced his sword back and forth whoever got in his way. All the men screamed and scattered. Only one remained. “Drop your sword Slayer!” He shouted standing ready to kill anyone who tried to hurt her. He grinned a fowl grin. “Gladly.” He sneered. He plunged the sword into the cage and laughed manically. Auri shrieked. He climbed the cage and threw the man off. He tossed his own sword on the ground at the cruel man. Auri gently pulled the slayer’s sword away from Nox’s scales.

He pulled open the cage door, and did his best to pull her out. Nox breathed slowly. “Nox, please, not now.” He cried. He pet the dragons head gently, and watched as the life seemed to leave her eyes. Auri gritted his teeth, and picked up the slayer’s sword. He walked over to where he had pushed the man off the cage, and plunged the sword through his gut. “You’re a cruel man.” He said before turning. He walked back around the cage, to go back to Nox. He stopped when he saw a woman standing there petting the large beast. “HEY! YOU! Stop!” He shouted running to his dragon. The woman seemed alarmed, and ran off, into the woods. He plopped down next to Nox, not caring about the woman, and just wept.
