Here are the names of my main characters for my book Prism! Tell me what kind of characters they remind you of and what vibe they give off! @wake-read-eat-sleep did this as well and I thought it was interesting so I wondered what my main characters sounded like. The first four are sisters so they have the same last name. Also, Theo is a girl and the rest after are boys.

Evie Prism: second youngest child; she loves candy and is super hyper like 24/7; can be slightly annoying but her sisters love her nonetheless; breaks everything she touches; she sings loudly and badly; looks like a cinnamon roll and is a cinnamon roll

Sprite Prism: youngest kid; hyper like Evie; probably lactose intolerant but still drinks milkshakes a lot; she tries really dumb stuff; stresses her older sisters out so much; fights with Evie all the time; once broke her shoulder by running face first into a door to try and break it down; has a resting bitch face; looks like she could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll

Andi Prism: second oldest; responsible child out of the four; it's really hard to get her to join in on the fun, but when she does, it's amazing; wears glasses and reads books a lot; super smart; confides in Brielle a lot; can be surprisingly scary; puts milk in before cereal; looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you

Brielle Prism: oldest sister; responsible when she needs to be; condones fun behavior; very strong; do not touch her sisters or she will find you and hurt you; once broke her ex-boyfriend's arm on purpose because he talked shit on her and her sisters; she is absolutely terrifying, if you saw her on a battlefield you would make a wide-ass arc around her; looks like she could kill you and actually can

Theo Brady: possible love interest of Brielle; she is also strong but doesn't like to display it; gets emotional easily; knows martial arts; the main four's best friend; protects them if they need help; likes knives way too much wtf; has maybe killed a man?

Damian Brookes: borderline pyromaniac; good friend of the main four; he's that friend that usually doesn't talk to you but when you need a ride or help with homework he's there to help; doesn't like Kenneth all that much, all on a hunch that Kenneth isn't that good of a dude; Damian once lit Evie's hair on fire and she never lets him forget it

Kioshi Yamada: most likely the antagonist; extremely powerful but a misconception is that he is weak, the name reminds me of Avatar Kioshi from The Last Airbender Series; once you see what he's capable of he is terrifying; he does really messed up stuff

Kenneth Brady: Theo's younger brother; has a crush on Evie; secretly the enemy; he doesn't like Damian at all and teases him; annoyed by his sister; once tried to make a move on Evie and Brielle immediately threw him across the room

Dylan Isakson: some comedy relief; only shows up in dire times of need; he's probably a morally grey character, helps the heroes but also helps the villains; likes to make deals and is good at making them; he pops up in the strangest places

Aria Ross: villain; badass one, too; Brielle hates him; he is a player, he likes to flirt and seduce his way around; knows how to win somebody over; very attractive; once he gains someone's trust he takes that trust and throws it in the GARBAGE

Evie Prism: firstborn, opinionated, small, sarcastic, messy bun, tee shirts and army jackets, theatre, sketching, poetry, baseball hats, reading, music, The Clone Wars, London fog, massive nerd, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, read all of the YA books

Sprite Prism: excitable, thirdborn, optimistic, high ponytails, yellow shirts and skirts, sodapop, pink, Paris, girls, flowers freshly bloomed in spring, Divergent,
Percy Jackson

Andi Prism: hair dye, second born, nose piercing, witty, travel, foreign languages, team activities, sand on a beach, blue, history, fandom knowledge, TV, Star Wars Rebels, Hamilton, The Lunar Chronicles

Brielle Prism: blonde, silver, youngest, quiet, happy, stuffed toys, dress up, fashion, pale pink, cotton candy, cold rain on a hot day, empathy, shy, scarves, owls, Anastasia, She Loves Me

Theo Brady: curly dark hair, grey eyes, purple, wet dirt, softball, soft pastels, outspoken, law school, reading, Stranger Things, Chicago, traveler, beta fish, Wicked, The Hunger Games

Damian Brookes: rivers, hiking, track and field, Netflix, bearded dragons, depressed, dark red, perpetually annoyed, reads Percy Jackson

Kioshi Yamada: superheroes, acting, writing, pottery, excited, smiles a lot, has a summer job, listens to showtunes, watches old TV shows

Kenneth Brady: blonde, Disney movies, Shakespeare, light blue, shy, quiet, naive, young, blue eyes, giddy smile, not good at math

Dylan Isakson: class clown, sick a lot, never shuts up, swimming, beach volleyball, Big Hero 6, science, witty, Back to the Future

Aria Ross: sings, plays the saxophone, wears jeans 24/7, quiet, easily annoyed, sighs a lot, soccer, The Princess Bride, comedy, both movies and stand up

Wow, some of those are extremely close. Like, @@jynandor, you got Sprite like SPOT ON!! It's kind of scary how on point you guessed!! Probably should of explained that these are my main good characters… oops.

• Evie Prism: the youngest, has extreme social anxiety and low self-esteem. Very introverted. Loves reading and cooking, and looks up to her sisters quite a lot! And her sisters, in return, like to dote upon her, and are extremely proud of her despite her not being proud of herself. Best friends with Theo and Damian. Light brown hair in messy twintails, emerald eyes, pale skin, pastel yellow V-neck, lightning bolt choker. Looks like a cinnamon roll and is a cinnamon roll.
• Sprite Prism: the second youngest, is energetic, girly and and kind of kooky. Loves bubblegum, sodapop, princesses, fairies, and all things pink! Treats Evie like a child despite being only slightly older than her, and is obsessively infatuated with Damian and completely ignores the fact he doesn't return her feelings. Is always smiling, and if she's not you better hope you're not the reason for it. Light pink hair in high ponytail, emerald eyes, pale skin, floral dress, magenta bow. Looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you.
• Andi Prism: the second oldest (adopted), is aloof, harsh and dour. Always glowering, and obsesses over being strong. Very unfriendly, and won't even smile because she's worried she'll appear weak. Only around her sisters does she show the gentler, lonely side of her. Hates flirting, and secretly is enchanted with ballet and photography. Short black hair, gray eyes, dark brown skin, cyan shirt, gray jacket. Looks like she could kill you and can kill you.
• Brielle Prism: the oldest, is calm, collected, and poised. Is very polite, but overprotective of her sisters and will do anything for them. For some reason, she doesn't naturally express emotion through her face, so she always has a blank expression, which causes her to look quite serious and scary. However, she is actually a huge nerd and loves comics, superheroes, and manga. Best friends with Kioshi (and eventually falls in love with him). Long half-up-half-down white hair, violet eyes, pale skin, white button-up shirt, black skirt. Looks like she could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll.
• Theo Brady: Kenneth’s younger sister, is cheerful and optimistic. Sanguine through even the hardest times. Adores punk pop music, plays the guitar and drums, and thinks the music Aria plays is boring. Loves her brother, but teases him constantly, and acts more like older sibling despite being younger. Also best friends with Evie, who she thinks is amazing. Once was really close to Aria, but now they’re always arguing and she considers him pretentious. Curly red hair, golden eyes, freckled face, ripped jeans, brown headband.
• Damian Brookes: Good friend of the Prism girls, and Evie’s best friend. Very extroverted and makes friends really easy, sometimes a little over-trusting. Can be a little hot-headed. Also close friends with Kenneth, who is probably his closest male friend. Loves Sprite, but as a friend, and can’t seem to get her to understand. Looks up to his father quite a lot, and him and his mother are really close as well, somehow never went through the “my parents aren’t cool” phase. Long crimson hair in low ponytail, fiery red eyes, tannish skin, black jacket, black jeans.
• Kioshi Yamada: Brielle’s best friend (and eventually falls in love with her), is very quiet and almost never speaks, though Brielle can usually tell what he’s thinking through his expressions. Writes poetry, and thoughts in general, and what he doesn’t say ends up written in a notebook. Used to live in Japan, and brought his many manga books with him, and is the reason for Brielle’s anime addiction, likewise, Brielle is responsible for his western comic book addiction. Short black hair, navy blue eyes, tawny skin, white V-neck, denim jacket.
• Kenneth Brady: Theo’s older brother, and Damian’s close friend. Is very flirty and dramatic, plus slightly narcissistic. Was a theater kid. Loves coffee and is kind of a hipster. Has a blog and follows a lot of photographers. Loves his little sister, despite sometimes depending on her too much. Has a slight crush on Andi, and keeps flirting with her despite her hating it and threatening him. Curly red hair swept to the right, golden eyes, freckled face, skinny jeans, blue flannel.
• Dylan Isakson: Good friend of Sprite’s and is secretly in love with her. Is introverted, like Evie, but doesn’t have anxiety and can socialize quite well, except when it’s with a girl. He’s completely terrified of women, and becomes just as flustered as Evie when talking with her. Nevertheless, he fell in love with Sprite, but doesn’t tell her because he knows she loves Damian. Despite this, he gets along with Damian quite well and hopes they’ll both live happily. Short blonde hair with neat bangs, rosy skin, ocean blue eyes, white button-up shirt, wrist-watch.
• Aria Ross: Kenneth and Theo’s neighbor. Is sophisticated and uses complicated vocabulary. Finds teasing and annoying people quite fun. Loves classical music, plays violin and piano, and thinks the music Theo plays is unpleasant noise. Used to be close friends with her, but as he got older became prideful and messed up their relationship. Secretly wishes he could earn it back, just is too embarrassed with himself to try. Short dark aqua-green hair swooped to one side, grass-green eyes, light green dress-shirt, glasses.

This might be an unpopular opinion but… I don't really like picking names that "fit" my character's personality or looks. I have nothing against other people doing it, but I personally don't do it because I think it's not realistic. Your parents will name you according to their own tastes, and most times they'll name you before you're even born or old enough for them to know your personality. I'm also a firm believer in picking whatever name and it just working. I tested this out by using the name Phyllis for a main character of one of my series (Phyllis is a name I originally hated), and eventually that character just couldn't be named anything else. It doesn't matter in the end what their name is, it's their personality and characterization that will make the character stick out–and give their name all the meaning in the world.
