Vicuris: he pulls out an uncut gemstone connected to a chain and holds it in both his hands. he focuses magic into it and stands like that for a little while eyes closed. when he finally opens his eyes, he looks completely defeated. "no, it won't work. i can hear her a bit, but she can't hear me at all."
