Salmook: self-defense, murder, where does one draw the line? he's interrupted from his thoughts by Juni falling. he makes his way over to her
"Stars above, that looked like it hurt. Uh… are you awake?"

Juni: Slowly pushes herself to a sitting position, her left wing completely limp “I- I’m fine-“ tries to move her wing and winces, glaring at it

Tseth: Turns towards the creature, brandishing his swords. “So, what’s it going to be?”

Alex: Oh, that’s definitely bad. “No, you’re not. Your wing is injured. You won’t be able to fight with that.”

Creature: It turns to face Tseth, hissing, then attempts to hit him with a tree root

Juni: Reaches for a clasp near her neck and takes off her wings, tossing them to the side “Yeah, I can. These wings aren’t real. I just need to get them fixed.” stands up and pulls out her daggers again

Salmook: completely taken aback by DETACHABLE WINGS "I thought they were- what kind of..?"
notices that the creature is not getting any less aggressive… or tired "Should we… really fight it? Running away screaming works for me."

Alex: Oh I’m an idiot wait what did she mean by not real why is there a clasp- “Ah- right. I guess I should have remembered that. Ours are uh- similar..” He stands up again, pulling out another knife. He runs back to the fight.

Tseth: Dodges the tree root, and slashes it with his sword. The root slices apart cleanly.

Juni: Looks at Salmook “I don’t think running away is much of an option anymore. Just… hide. we’ll try to protect you.” She sprints behind the creature while it’s distracted, trying to figure out how to get to it’s weak spot

Creature: glares at Tseth “Why do you not back down, mortal? You will not win this fight.”

Tseth: Making eye contact with the creature, looking completely done with everything that’s been happening. “I have no other choice, whether we win or lose you have made fighting the only option.”

Alex: While the creature is distracted talking to Tseth, he takes off flying, trying to get to the weak point.

Creature: Snarls “Very well. Prepare to die.” It attempts to hit Tseth with a tree root again, this time aiming for his head.

Juni: grips her daggers harder, clearly distressed, her voice uncharacteristically loud “Watch out—”

Tseth: Ducking just before the root hits him, unimpressed. “You say that, and yet I’m still alive.” He rushes towards the creature, going for its legs.

Alex: Behind the creature, still in the air, he grips his knife. He dives, aiming to stab its weak spot.

Creature: “That ignorant child—” Before it can say any more, Alex stabs it in its weak spot. It screeches and whirls around, hissing at Alex.

Juni: Flinches at ‘ignorant child’, then covers her ears when the creature screeches

Alex: “Oh, shit-“ He flies higher when the creature turns to face him, trying to avoid any attacks.

Tseth: He slashes the creature’s legs with his swords, and then retreats back as it’s focus turns to Alex. He looks around at everyone quickly, taking in their states.

Salmook: shudders when the creature screeches, and is overall distraught by the violence "Oh… Don't torture the forest… creature-thing."

Juni: squeezes her eyes shut “If we want to live, that thing needs to be dead!”

Creature: continues screeching and collapses

Alex: Lands back on the ground once he realizes the creature isn’t going to attack “In the name of Resh, why is this thing so loud when it gets hurt-“

Tseth: “You yell when you’re stabbed, you can’t say much.” He gets on top of the creature (which is probably a bad idea) and impales the weak spot with his sword, making sure it stays down.

Creature: Its screeches die down and it goes limp (it’s dead lol)

Juni: looks around, then sees Resh still collapsed on the ground “Resh..? RESH!” runs over and kneels next to Resh, shaking him aggressively

Resh: literally just starting to wake up “wha…?”

Tseth: Pulls out his sword from the creature, and jumps down back to the ground. He notices Resh waking up “Look who’s back.”

Resh: glares at Tseth “Shut the fuck up.”

(Alas, lovelies, I must leave 😔 see u tomorrow evening after the first day of finals week kills me)

Tseth: He chuckles “I’d love to, sunshine, but no.” He re-sheathes his swords, now that there’s no use for them.

Alex: Looking around “Is anyone hurt? Besides you-“ he looks at Resh “-in which you definitely have some head trauma.”

Salmook: looks over the creature's corpse and looks… sad? "Oh, poor thing…"
he looks up and around at the surrounding forest, then back to everyone else "You… you don't think there's more of them… do you?"

Bee: off to the side after watching that battle, does a jig
