(Poor child has no idea-)
(bro is absolutely clueless…)
(And Ame wanted to keep him safe, wonder how she’ll try to achieve that 😂)
Alex: “I’m coming with you. He’s my.. friend. And I couldn’t help him last time, so I need to now.” He looks determined, albeit still worried.
Tseth: He’s hyperventilating, clearly distressed as he’s tied up. He’s looking around frantically, past memories threatening to resurface. The gag doesn’t help. He tries to get it out of his mouth, if that’s even possible without hands.
(CHILD NO)
(HAHAHAHA)
Resh: He nods in acknowledgement to Alex, then looks at Salmook as he starts running. “Child, no—“ He quickly sheathes his sword and scoops up Salmook, just kind of cradling him in his arms casually like the small child he is- “Don’t run off on your own…” He looks back at Pherløxž and sighs. “We’ll take you with us, but don’t go off getting yourself killed.” What if he dies, it’ll be my fault-
Birch: They glare at Tseth. “Oh, you’ll be fine. Stop fussing.” Smirks “Besides, your little friend will be here soon enough, if the plan works.”
Salmook: taken aback by being scooped up so easily, but is generally ok with it. he averts his eyes from Pherløxž in an attempt to not freak out even more. it doesn't seem to be helping.
"I- ok. Uh, th- thank you, Resh, sir."
(Aww I would die for this child)
Tseth: He stops, staring Birch down with blood-red eyes. Suddenly, a wave of shadow bursts from his form, accompanied by a deafening roar. A large area around him becomes engulfed in darkness for a few seconds, before returning to normal.
(OH)
(WHEEZE- I did tell you about krill calls before but I guess that visual is. Something)
(This is certainly interesting)
Resh: He chuckles quietly and sets Salmook down, keeping a gentle but firm grip on his hand. “You’re welcome, little one.” He squeezes Salmook’s hand reassuringly, then looks at Alex. “We should probably get going…”
Birch: they yelp and cover their ears, stumbling backwards a little. They squeeze their eyes shut and turn away until the wave of darkness passes, then look at Tseth with wide eyes. “What the fuck was that?!”
Alex: “Yeah. Let’s go find him.” He begins walking through the forest, the direction Tseth went.
Tseth: He only glares at Birch, unable to say anything due to the gag in his mouth.
Salmook: a final glance at Pherløxž to be sure they won't follow, and then he nods at Resh
"Ok… I'm ready."
Resh: He nods at Salmook and follows Alex, shortening his stride a bit to make sure Salmook doesn’t struggle to keep up.
Birch: They glare daggers at Tseth and take the gag out of his mouth, throwing it on the ground. They try to force calmness into their voice, but their voice is still very shaky. “What was that?”
Tseth: He looks down at Birch, vaguely unimpressed. “You’re scared. You don’t hide it very well.” They’re like a fucking jellyfish.
Alex: He’s switched to infrared vision, trying to catch anyone who might be hiding. Heat signatures are harder to hide. He looks back at Resh and Salmook. “Let’s hope he didn’t go too far.”
Birch: They steal a knife from a random person, who looks a little offended but doesn’t say anything. They point the knife at Tseth. “Just answer the question, or shut the fuck up.”
Resh: He pulls out his sword again, gripping it tightly. He looks furious, and ready to kill someone at a moment’s notice.
Salmook: he pats his pockets for a weapon and… figures, he must've left it at home. in his defense, he didn't exactly plan on getting lost in another world today, either. he fumbles for the rocks he's been carrying with him. they aren't exactly weapons, but better than nothing.
Tseth: Who the fuck cares it’s common knowledge on my world anyway “A burst of dark energy. Happy? If not, I can always give you another demonstration.”
Birch: Their grip on the knife tightens and they take a step back. “No- that’s all.”
Resh: He looks down at Salmook, letting go of his hand for a moment to hand him a knife.
Salmook: he looks at Resh, and then the knife. he's a little nervous about using it, but hey- intimidation factor. he takes it gratefully.
"…thank you, again."
(Not Resh trusting a child with a knife)
Resh: He nods and gives Salmook a small grin. “You know how to use it, right? The pointy end goes in the enemy, not you.” By his tone, it’s obvious that he’s half-joking with the child.
