“We come out of the ground!” Tiger interrupted Rainbow’s lecture.
“Yes, and it’s very bad for the planet, think of us as plants for this explanation; Other Gems put ‘seeds’ in the ground, over many years it will turn into a Gem, but the only way they can create perfect ones they must soak out the life from the earth. After the whole process is finished a barren landscape is all that’s left as they begin to colonize other places until the entire planet is devoid of life and we leave to destroy other planets…”
Thorne: Oh, well. That sounds… nice.
Emris: That's terrible! Is there any way you could… not do that and still create a "perfect Gem"?
“I’m not sure, it isn’t my job, I’m only a mechanic.” Rainbow said with a sorry look on her face.
“Well, that’s why the Crystal Gems exist!” Tiger chimed in, “They’re a rebellion who fights for life against the Diamonds, it all started with Rose Quartz and her love for Earth!” She smiled determinedly, “They fight for freedom! They fight for a place to be yourself! They fight for Earth! And they fight for love!!”
Thorne: Yes, I've gathered that. -they look at Rainbow with a slight smile on their face-
Emris: I like that rebellion. Nothing like the one the Immortals started. They fought for war, not peace. They wanted to destroy us completely. -he sighs- Fight for love… I can't understand that, though.
"What do you mean?" Tiger asked, tilting her head with a slightly worried look. "Why can't you understand fighting for love?"
Emris: Well… I don't fall in love. Romantic love, that is. So I don't fight for it. And, well, I don't really have that many friends either-
Thorne: Yeah, no, you do. Me and Zoë, remember? -they look at Tiger- He doesn't really believe in relationships, which I find stupid. You should always have someone you can talk to. And Emris, you do fight for love. Even if it's the love of yourself, you do fight for love.
"That's called narcissism." Rainbow interjected,
Thorne: Yeah, well… -they shrug- Oh, Emris, you love magic too!
Emris: I'm not narcissistic. -he glares at Thorne- And I'm the god of magic, I kind of have to love it.
"Well, this is getting too mushy for me." Rainbow said, walking away, not before glancing at Tiger.
Thorne: Rainbow! Come back! -they call- We'll stop… -they trail off, staring into the distance-
Emris: Thorne, are you okay? Thorne! -he taps Thorne on the forehead, but nothing happens-
Tiger looked confused, "What's up with her??" She turned back to them, "And what is with the face tapping?" She asked.
Emris: Well, someone took Thorne's Blocker Ring. So… they're being treated to everyone's worst memories! I'm trying to create a magical shield around their mind so they can relax, but… the magic used to create their blocker ring was only around at the dawn of the Unity Galaxy. Even I can't recreate it. -he taps Thorne's forehead again and Thorne blinks-
Thorne: Yep, that worked. -they let out a deep breath- Stars…
"I have no idea what you're talking about but that's nice."
Thorne: Well, no, it's not nice experiencing everyone's worst memories. But it is nice that Emris managed to put up a shield, even if it is a little shaky.
Emris: Hey! Maybe if we went and got it back…? -Thorne sighs-
Thorne: Right, right. Let's go, before your shield falls again. -Emris gives them a look and snaps his fingers. They both disappear in a burst of blue light-
Danny and another unknown girl burst into the room in a cloud of black smoke. Danny is holding his Scythe as normal.
???: "C'mon Danny! You know he's just a big jerk. Let me at him!"
Danny: "It's a part of his nature! You know he can't help it sometimes, so calm down."
Thorne: -reappears, blood on their face and coat, triumphantly grinning- Ha! That should teach them!
Tiger waves at Danny, “Hello!” She smiled, “Who’s your friend?”
Rainbow stared at everyone, mainly wondering why Tiger was waving at them, a little jealous that she was giving them attention.
Thorne: -looks towards Danny- Oh, hey, Danny! -they wave-
Danny: "Heh, this is Zuri. Another one of my friends."
Zuri: Gives the room a mean look. "I should be beating up Aaron right now."
Danny: "Good luck with that ogre. You should be grateful! He could seriously hurt you on accident."
Thorne: Uh… hi, Zuri. -they frown- Aaron? Who's that? -they rub their cheek, smearing the blood- Why's Aaron an ogre? Do you mean that literally?
Zuri: "Aaron is a stupid Ogre Blood who doesn't know when to stop talking."
Danny: "Aaron is one of our friends, Zuri"
Zuri: "He's not my friend, especially after that comment!"
Danny: "It's ok to be a low level! There are lots of Mythical Bloods that have no powers and they still live! You should be proud to be a Siren by itself. Those are rare after all."
Zuri: "Says the Death Blood!"
Danny and Zuri continue to bicker back and forth.
Shuilthu has seemingly vanished.
???: A large, 3 metre bug like being approaches, clicking her jaws as she inspects the area.
Thorne: So… Aaron's not an actual ogre? -they frown- Siren? Death Blood? Okay, I'm confused. -they look at their jacket and sigh- And covered in blood, apparently. Why didn't anyone tell me sooner? -they look towards the newcomer- Uh… hello?
Zuri: "Aaron might as well be an actual ogre."
Danny: "Hehe, I'm going to regret this but…" Danny waves his Scythe over Zuri and a gag appears in her mouth and ropes bind her wrists behind her back. "I'll explain this quick. A long, long time ago humanoid Mythical creatures bred with humans to save their species until the Mythical blood and powers were so diluted that they disappeared. Then, the Blood and the powers mysteriously came back. That means Aaron has mostly the Blood of Ogres, Zuri has mostly the Blood of Sirens, and I am the only one with the Blood of Death. Power levels can vary."
As Danny was explaining Mythical Blood history, Zuri struggled with her bondings until she finally got free. She then charged Danny and knocked him to the floor.
Zuri: *If I had my mothers powers I would have the perfect song for you!"
???: Quietly listening to the conversation, she announces her presence by speaking. Her voice was human like, despite her rather..bug like, weird appearance.
Quite an interesting history. I don’t believe I’ve heard anything like that, although then again I lived in a lab for most of my life.
