Thorne: Oh, it's perfectly alright. So, she hasn't seen the outside world very much, I'm guessing. -they sigh sadly- The worst things always happen to the best people, don't they? -they sit there for a second, thinking about things that happened long ago- Well, at least you both are out in the world. Free to be with each other.
Rainbow nodded and squeezed her hand, "Always the best…"
Thorne: Well, have fun, kids. I have a lunch date with Zoë in about five minutes, so… I'll see you all later, I hope. -they smile- Goodbye! -they disappear in a flash of fire-
Thorne: -stumbles out from a blue portal, supported by a blue-haired man with mismatched silver and gold eyes- Why the Ed did you bring me here, Emris? This has to be the worst possible place for me right now! -they wince in pain-
Emris: Well, since there are a bunch of them at your house and you're not allowed at the Ivory Towers… well, I searched for a safe place. And here we are. -he deposits Thorne on the ground and starts mumbling an unknown language to himself-
Rainbow didn't say anything else, she just sat there and held her own hand.
Thorne: Hey, Rainbow! Are you okay? Sorry I had to leave. I'm starting to wish I hadn't. -they grimace and rub their forehead- Stars… Emris, are you done yet?
Emris: No, but that might be because you keep interrupting me! -he glares at Thorne, then goes back to muttering-
"My stars, I hope she doesn't come back…" She whispered to herself, looking at the sky.
Thorne: Rainbow? Do you need help? -Emris pokes Thorne in the forehead- Hey!
Emris: Did that help? -he glances at Rainbow- Who's that?
Thorne: No. I think you actually made it worse, if that's possible. And that's Rainbow. I think she's having an existential crisis at the moment. -Emris frowns and starts mumbling again-
She pulls a thin floating screen from her gem and started pressing buttons and got to a page about something unreadable and continued to write something in a different language, finding a picture of Tiger and made some sort of info slide, continuing to do it for everyone she's met here so far, including herself. She swiped up and started making an info slide for the creatures and other things she's witnessed on the planet. Rainbow tapped her foot on the ground, got up and started pacing, the screen following her around as she turned back to it and started typing again.
Thorne: Are you making an informational slideshow? -they turn to Emris- Why is she making- Ow! -they grimace- Why is she making an informational slideshow?
Emris: Ed if I know. -he snaps his fingers and pokes Thorne in the forehead again-
She took a deep breath and sat back down, putting the screen away before untying her hair and calming herself.
Thorne: Right. Okay. -they rub their forehead- Why is this taking so long, Emris? You've done this before!
Emris: Well, I'm a little busy trying to shield my mind for you. It will just take a little longer. -he taps his forehead thoughtfully- I think I almost got it… -Thorne sighs in relief and closes their eyes, lying down on the ground-
Rainbow seemed kind of bored, just looking around and waiting for Tiger to return, she felt lost, like she now had no purpose when she wasn't doing her job, she wasn't fixing anything or doing anything she was made to do. She finally had time to think about what she wanted, but she didn't feel like she was doing enough, she couldn't explain why, but there was something she needed to do. But what?
(I won’t be able to post for a bit because my little cousins are staying over)
((That's cool, take all the time you need))
Emris: -taps Thorne's forehead again. This time, blue light flashes- Is that better?
Thorne: Better, yes. Thanks, Emris. -they turn to Rainbow- Hey, where'd Tiger go?
"I thought I told you, she's out exploring?"
Thorne: Right. Sorry, my brain is a little full right now. Well, less full now that Emris actually did something. -they glare at Emris-
Emris: I told you, I was multitasking. Who's Tiger?
Rainbow gave them a confused look before she noticed an eagle that landed nearby and started awkwardly running over.
“My stars, Tiger, what are you doing?” Rainbow chuckled, holding out her hand towards it.
“I. Found. So. Many. Things. I. Am. Going. To. SHATTER.” The eagle responded before turning into Tiger.
“Don’t shatter, it’s very bad for your health.” Rainbow joked, making her laugh. “This is Tiger.” Rainbow said to Emris.
Emris: Interesting. You can turn into an eagle. What form of magic is that?
Thorne: This is Emris, the god of magic and my savior. -they glance towards their hand, which has absolutely no rings on it- And those two are Rainbow and Tiger.
Tiger shrugged, “We were just… made with it.” She replied.
“It’s because we’re made of light.” Rainbow said matter-of-factly, “That’s how most of our powers come into play. Including; fusion, weapon summoning, shape-shifting, reforming and dissipating, and many more.”
Emris: Interesting. Natural-born magic, it would seem.
Thorne: Honey, you can't just turn everything into something you understand. Sometimes you have to be out of your depth. -Emris grimaces at the thought-
“Born? No, no, no, we aren’t organic, we’re made.” Rainbow clarified, holding up one of her fingers as if she was teaching a child.
Emris: Natural-made magic, then. -he looks at Thorne-
Thorne: Yes, whatever. -they look to Rainbow and wince, then tap their forehead angrily- Made? Sorry, what does that mean?
