Maeryn rubs the back of his neck, “Uh… actually, Tempest! Sign the card, don’t show me it!” He says, looking at his friend.

Tempest takes the card and signs it with the pen that was handed to it. The T a lightning bolt just for the fun of it

“Alright, now I’d like for you to make sure everyone’s seen the card with your signature!” He says this, one hand behind his back

Tempests raises and eyebrow at that and shows everyone the card with a little smirk

As Tempest is showing the card around, Maeryn casts a minor duplication spell onto a card he put behind his back, to replicate what he’s showing. “Now that everyone’s seen, I should probably start guessing the card at least!”

"alright shoot go ahead." Tempest says as he holds the card to face himself now

“Hmm… is it… Theeeee…. king of spade?” He asks, knowing that isn’t the card as he casually brings the duplicated card to in front of his face.

Tempest shakes his head "Nope it is not." He says, tilting his head a bit at the card

Maeryn grins, “Or perhaps… is this your card?” He turns the card around, showing the duplicate

"Hey! Yeah that's it!" He confirmed "That's a neat little trick you got there." Tempest responded, clapping a bit.

“Thank you, thank you!” He laughs and bows, because that’s show biz baby.

Ember knows how it was done but allows her brother to retain some sense of wonder as she began to politely clap too.

“Would anyone like to see another trick?” He tilts his head, taking the other card back and erasing the pen from it

I wake up and I get dressed and I walk downstairs and I see someone playing the piano and I go sit on one of the chairs
