Valerie: Stricken, she realizes she does know. She knows exactly what the thing was, and what the two other balls are, and knows that this world is already dead. Nori, don't panick. But… the past has come back to haunt us.
Valerie: Stricken, she realizes she does know. She knows exactly what the thing was, and what the two other balls are, and knows that this world is already dead. Nori, don't panick. But… the past has come back to haunt us.
Nori: groans dramatically, leaning against a wall. God dammit, why does this always happen! We just wanted some lunch!!
Valerie: She slides down the wall, her face greyish-green. Not a good sign. I- I- th- the th- things th- that a- attacked us- a- are d- demons o- of s- some sort. Her voice was very shaky, nearly making the words unintelligeble.
Nori: moves to hold Valerie, carefully helping her to the floor. Jesus, just breathe, okay? Just breathe. They're not after us now. He gazes into her eyes, lowering his voice to a more calming tone. Just breathe.
Valerie: Lifts her shirt to reveal a series of gashes on her side. Oh- oh d- damn. She passes out.
Nori: catches her before she falls. Oh… shit. He looks around, terrified if one might come back. Drawing his sword, he lifts her into the bed, then drops into a fighting stance
(I'll take over the creatures for now. The format'll cahnge here, since this seems to be turning into a true roleplay.)
The two balls in the back of the room uncurl themselves, then look at the humans. One was already nearly dead, and so they ignored that one, instead focusing on the other human who had a familiar weapon drawn. They recoil slightly, then quickly and silently skitter forward, one grabbing Nori by the arms, the other grabbing him by the legs. They start to pull on him in opposite directions, trying to tear him apart.
(Gotcha XD)
Nori swings his weapon around, yelping as he starts being pulled. "Shit!! Get off me!!"
The creatures chitter quietly, then pull harder. Suddenly, Valerie gets up, a dazed, furious look on her face.
"Get… off… him!" she screams, a blinding supernova of light exploding in the room, vaporizing the creatures, which shriek and try to escape, but fail. When the light fades away, Valerie looks paler than usual, her skin, rather than being peraly, now a true white color.
Auretta came out of nowhere. “What the heck is going on?!” she seemed distressed as she looked around. She noticed Valerie and gasped. “Oh my gosh…”
Nori pants and runs a hand through his hair, face brightening at the sight of Auretta. “We need to help her!!” He says frantically
Valerie moans, softly, as everyone starts shouting.
"No, really, it's fine…" she says, and her nads start glowing, her powers removing the toxins from her system. She sits up slowly, still feeling dizzy and shaky.
"We need to be careful. There's more of them in this house and the others. I'm surprised we didn't immediately wake them." she adds, sighing.
Auretta rushed to Valerie’s side. “Hey, hey, you shouldn’t stand right now…you look super dizzy…” she spoke softly as she wrapped her arm around her. She then glanced back at Nori. “We need to get out of here first. It’s not safe here…”
Nori nods, taking the other side of Val. “Yeah. I can carry both of you out of here if we need it.” He says, looking at both of them.
Valerie shrugs Auretta off, smiling gently. "Really, I'm fine. Now, we need to get out of here, now."
She gets up and grabs her sword, which she realized she'd dropped earlier, handing her rapier to Auretta with the basic knowledge needed to wield it.
Auretta grabs the rapier and nods. “You should carry her…she seems a bit unsteady,” she says, prepared to fight. She’s ready to fight if it means her friends will be safe. “Lead the way.”
Nori nods, taking Val by the arm. “Alright, where to, miss Valerie.”
Valerie grins and sighs. "Anywhere away from here. Once we get far enough away, the village is getting nuked."
She grins, and then sprints out of the house, Nori still hanging on to her arm.
Auretta follows the duo, looking around as she grips onto the rapier. If something came at them, she would attack it. She felt as though she needed to get everyone to safety.
Nori looks behind his shoulder, glancing at Auretta and smiling. "Thank you" He mouths to her, drawing his sword and keeping his guard up as well
Auretta nods softly, keeping her guard up. “You’re welcome,” she mouths back. She was glad she came when she did.
Valerie quickly makes it out of the town. "So, close your eyes, now, people."
Nori reaches a hand out to Auretta. "Don't get lost." he says quickly, closi ng his eyes tightly
Auretta takes Nori’s hand, nodding. “I won’t,” she told him as she shut her eyes tightly.
When they both close their eyes, she summons a blinding corona of light that immediately vaporizes the town, hundreds of otherwordly screams able to be heard over the sound of the earth itself bending and breaking under the onslaught. A moment later, the shockwave hits them and knocks them down. Eventually, when the last vestiges of light died away, there was a giant smoking crater where the village used to be.
"Okay, you can open your eyes again." she laughs.
