"Trust me." He went to work on her watch

"I-I can't let you tinker with such an important relic, I'm sorry." Mel backed away, holding her arms up in defense.
"I know how much it means to you..' He said, holding up his wrist. he had the same type of watch.
(A little bit of context: Mel was given her watch from an alien time-traveller that pretty much lives forever when she was 27, when he had to leave her. He got sucked into an alternate universe, but every now and then, Mel's alien friend would be able to save her from immediate danger through the watch. The watch itself was created in the future and time travel was a form of vacationing. Mel's friend used the technology long before he met her to make the watch if he were to ever get into any danger.)
Melanie froze. "Who are you? How did you get that? You-You can't have that technology, it doesn't come out for another three-thousand or so years! Did you…steal it? Oh my god… Those devices in possession of innocents could be catastrophic to this timeline, you understand that? Now," Melanie started to pull out one of her guns from its holster, "Please return the alien technology. I don't want to have to hurt you, but if it means preserving this timeline, I won't hesitate to shoot."
"Oh well this just got interesting." she floated watching her pull out the gun and eating some food. "I wonder if she'll actually shoot the dude."

"Steal it? Oh hell no! I don't commit such petty sins. I own it. Im also an time traveler."
(dad deleted old account, this is Divine-Irish-Potato)
"And besides," He pushed the gun away from his face "What are you gonna do with this gun?"
Melanie scoffed. "What else would I use it for, Mr. Vozreal?" Her scowl was pointed at him.
"You can't kill me. I'm immortal."
"I think we got off on the wrong foot."
Normally, he would've been more polite, and wait longer for the furred figure to finish whatever he was doing with those herbs, but right then his patience was thin. Instead, the Dragonkin forced himself to stand again, legs nearly buckling under him. Though, he managed to catch himself, stabbing the end of his sword into the ground, then hefting himself upwards. He swayed in place for several moments, taking one step, then another. Each step sent a shock of pain through his system, making him hiss under his breath.
His gaze wandered to the other group for a few moments, then back towards the foliage of the forest. Eh, they were too concerned about one another to really take note of their surroundings it seemed. So he headed off into depths. Once further in and away, he'd try to call his mount, and just return to the Guild.
Right then, he just wanted to get patched up, and something warm in his belly…
Vozreal looked around, wondering what this place was.
