((OOC: Nice))
A clang, several snarls resonating. He whipped around, pivoting swiftly to the side as the great beast came swerving downwards. One fluid movement and his blade came to meet fur and flesh. Though he didn't have much time to revel in his kill, for another of the heavily built animals came barreling from the undergrowth.
He growled, the flashes seen of the male as he attacked; he appeared human, except he was nearly 8ft in height. A pair of dark colored horns curved along his head, curling back like a rams before jutting forward. Dark colored scaled plates covered the bridge of his nose, along his jawline, and going partially down his neck. From the base of his spine, a tail trailed behind, swerving one way, then the other, following his movements. Seeming almost to have draconic features…
"This was suppose to…"
He paused a moment, lifting the buckler attached to his arm to take the brunt attack of a heavy paw. The male hopped back, then with a heavy swing, tossed that buckler with immense force. The flying disc swirled forward, coming into contact with the attacking bear's head, making it instantly stop in its tracks. The beast toppled over, stunned from the attack. Without even waiting to give it a chance, he ran forward, delivering a final blow to its skull.
The horned man walked over, picking up his buckler, returning it to its place upon his back. He stood there several moments, allowing himself to catch his breath. His huffs were calming down, closing his eyes. Though, as he did, he barely noticed as frost started to form. The temperature seemed to even drop, leaves wilting from the sudden cold. As he slowly opened his eyes again, he stepped back with a jerk.
Now before him stood a great, white bear. The animal curled its lips back, showing fangs that seemed to be crystals, same with the claws. Spikes of ice seemed to line its shoulders, the beast even towering over him.
The male took a step back, arm reaching back for his shield, the other taking hold of his blade. He curled his lips back, revealing his own fangs to the bear. His stance moved, going into an almost powerful force, ready to take whatever brunt was tossed at it.
"You gotta be friggen kidding me, this wasn't part of the damn contract!"
The frost covered bear only gave a roar, charging forward. Guess there was no other choice here, time to do what he did best, keep the beast's attention, dish out damage, and try to remember to heal himself with potions…yea, that was something he needed to remember to do more often when doing solo missions…
