"Allison dropped her holy sword…" Britney said, holding it up like She-ra
"Allison dropped her holy sword…" Britney said, holding it up like She-ra
(I’ll be back sometime tomorrow)
Keziah stares in confusion at the sudden appearance of Britney and almost short circuits. "Wait where did you come from? Who are you? Who's Alli- forget it, the more allies the better." Hel perks up and waves her hand.
"Hey Brit! Good to see you again! Even though we've got like an inch of beef between each other it's cool to see you again."
Keziah observes the sword she's holding and nods in approval. "Yes, that weapon will prove to be a useful tool in out battle. But remember, the goal is not to kill the Beast. We must exhaust it, then I must transport it back. Otherwise, it can potentially reach a form that coexists with nonreality as a while." She grimaces at the thought and adds 'Holy Sword' under 'Holy Artifacts.'
Hel leans black and blows a strand of hair out of her face.
"This is rough man… I have an idea!"
Keziah turns her head to Hel in surprise. "Really?"
"Yeah!" Hel turns to Vozreal. "You purified my curse! You can purify Hex's curses and weaken her in battle!" She turns Keziah. "Ain't that crazy? Curse purification doesn't exist in our world, but he can do it! Isn't that-" Hel stops talking as she sees Keziah resting her forehead against her fist and shaking her head.
"Vozreal did not purify your curse, Hel. Do you really not now?" Her eyes her creased with disdain.
"What? How would you-"
"When I was existing as a transient being, I saw everything that happened. The Beast arrived and drained the curse from you. Your curse wasn't purified, it was transferred. And the Beast did it to prolong your existence so you both can quarrel. Vos- this one assisted with your concussion."
Hel gapes with wide eyes in shock at Keziah. She turns her head to the others. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SHE WAS HERE!?"
"Actually, I can purify curses. It takes a very long time, had the beast not helped."
Hel blinks in surprise and looks to Keziah with a faint smile. "Oh, that's goo-" Keziah has her face in her hands and was shaking her head. She slowly lifts her head from her hands and groans.
"Hel. That was a curse that was caused by a song. A nursery rhyme with little malicious intent behind it that almost killed you by the pure fact that your magic reacted. The curses from the Beast are far, far more dangerous and purposeful. The intention of harm is very prominent and are beyond advanced in terms of more tame curses in comparison. They are saturated in nothing but hate and wickedness. They were created specifically to cause pain and suffering and have countered purification so thoroughly, it makes stone rot. It can not be conventionally cured like an illness." Keziah glowers at Hel with annoyance. "You of all people should know this, Great Witch."
Keziah says the title mockingly and turns back to her notes, writing 'Purification: Ineffective.' Hel turns her head away and awkwardly rubs the back of her head. She doesn't look hurt, but she stays silent. Keziah turns to Britney.
"What can you offer us in terms of abilities?"
"I'm good at hunting. I can also make my arrows effective against unholy beings…"
"I insist you do not aim them at me then" says Azgoroth slowly backing away from Britney slightly.
Keziah nods and jots it down in the air. 'Holy Sword + Holy Arrows.' She turns to Britney and sees her antlers. Her eyes flick open a tad wider and she hums in acknowledgement. "I used to have those… not for long, though…" She clears her throat and observes her notes. The most effective things they have are the Holy Artifacts as a primary offensive weakness and the wraiths and Darioth serving as distractions. "This could very well work… does anyone else have any necessary input?" She turns to the others while Hel thinks intently about something.
"One thing, in order for me to summon Darioth with the capacity to launch spells I must be at phase ten or later. This means, I have to let hex or some other hostile party hit me at least once. Which could potentially be a problem".
Keziah rubs her face in concern. "That is a problem. Although you effectively are 'dead,' I'm assuming because of you're skeletal appearance, the Beast has made curses in the past that even affect the dead. It… is a conundrum in our world, but I believe it has something to do with altering the world on a nuclear level. It will make you 'alive' so you are susceptible to curses. It's a… um what's the word… a head scratcher. So letting it touch you, let alone harm you, is very dangerous. But, it could possibly have not constructed a counter to your condition since it would not target you specifically. It likes to eat things that are alive." She turns her head to Hel. "And it is targeting her."
Keziah looks at Hel with squinted eyes as her markings twitch curiously. "You both have such an attachment to one another… Even though it hates you so furtively and cannot fathom any other emotion, you have such blasphemous familiarity with it… Like its atrocities mean nothing to you." Hel looks up with a deep frown and bent brows and stands up in indignation. She stares down at Keziah intensively, thoroughly done with taking insult after insult. The tension returns along with some lingering effects of a suffocating energy in the air.
"In order for her to kill me, she would have to do it fifteen times" says Azgoroth "Each phase clears all damage and possible curses, As long as I can extract myself before she adapts to my phases I should be able to rise in power quickly enough to confuse her".
(Oh dang, that's cool! I always imagined him wearing a hat lol. I probably have some drawings of my girl, my abomination, and my other abomination, so i'll get back to you on that.)
(Hats were never his thing)
(Not even a lil fedora? Bummer. I'll reply in a sec, i'm almost done. Things are gettin' SPICY!)
Keziah turns away from Hel dismissively and acknowledges Azgoroth instead. "That could prove to be fruitful. The Beast has little patience for things that may take too long, so if it begins to see fighting you as a chore, then we could-" Hel interjects sharply.
"Oh no. We are NOT done here." Keziah ignores her and continues talking.
"We could bombard it with a series of attacks that are powerful, yet nonfatal as to-"
"Listen to me and don't ignore me, young lady! I brought you here so we could get rid of her. We almost have this plan put together and could potentially have a shot with taking her down. But you are constantly antagonizing me!" Hel pinches Keziah by her shoulder and brings her up, who responds with a sharp yelp and a snarl. "Yes, I still see her as my sister! Yes I feel there could be a chance to redeem her! And yes! I let her kill me! I couldn't fight her!
Keziah retorts with her own yelling. "You absolutely, could have! You are the Crooked Witch who was granted the Gift by the Void, one of the most powerful abilities and beings in our world, yet you can't kill an obviously evil being for what!? Because you shared a bed!? A mother!? A face!? That's all dead and gone! You could have saved so many people if you just didn't let your emotions decide your actions, but now our world is plunged into an era of death that it cannot pry itself out of! THIS WAS YOUR DOING!!"
