Nyx peered at it, then looked further down the cave's narrow passageway. "Are we going to explore some more?"

"Ah yes!" They kept walking

"So is this how you came to this town?" Nyx asked. It was cold in the cave, and she stuffed her hands into her pockets. "You were summoned?"

"Yes…" He said, avoiding the question

Nyx, sensing Vozreal's hesitance, stayed silent. They walked some more.
"Have you ever been to the end of this cave?" Nyx asked eventually.

"I've been everywhere, my dear." He said coolly

"Everywhere?" A question burned in the back of her throat, but she shoved it back down. No, Nyx, that's too childish.

"You were going to ask something else, weren't you?"

He's intuitive.
Nyx closed her mouth, struggling to keep the words in, but they exploded out of her mouth like a river bursting a dam.
"Have you been to Italy? Rome? Greece? Egypt? The pyramids? The Colosseum?"
She shut her mouth, turning pink.

"Yes… I helped build the pyramids…"

"Really?" She turned to him, teal eyes wide, the ghost of a smile on her face.

"Yes indeedy!" the cave started to echo

"You helped build the pyramids." Nyx was too excited to notice.

"Yes, why?"

"I've just always wanted to see them."

"Maybe we could travel there sometime?" He asked

"Really?" Her teal eyes sparkled. She was smiling now, a true smile.

"Yeah! Maybe as like a da-" He froze

"What?"

"As a date." He said, maybe asking her out? Who knows?

"That is… if you want to…"

She went pink. "A date?"

"You know… a romantic setting…"

"I know what a date is, you moron." She smacked him playfully in the arm. "Of course I'd like to see the pyramids."
