Astral glanced at his phone when he heard the ding, sighing softly.
"Still, it's not very creative." The god shook his head, chuckling some. The only reason he was holding his temper was that he didn't want to have to deal with Mother's at this point.
Elliot is typing…
Elliot: Yes please don't kill him
Elliot: And +Kye, why is Mother so nice to you??
Elliot: H o w
“I’m sure the group could come up with a more creative rude nickname if you’d like.” Simon offered, mostly jokingly.
It was… strange, to Astral, to see Simon in such good mood while talking to him. Almost joking, even.
"Oh, I have no doubt. What would you call me?" Astral was genuinely curious, it seemed, no malice in his actions or tone.
It was almost like how things had used to be between the two of them. “Hmmmmm I dunno. I’m really bad with nicknames.” He admitted.
Kye is typing…
Kye: uh… okay, yeah so… since derlik adopted me… and mother's his, well mother… that makes her my technical grandmother? yeah not sure how that happened but hey.
It was, and it was so confusing…
"Well, thank you at least for not calling me Ass-tral," Astral said, chuckling faintly. Mia was also confused by all of this, glancing between the two.
Elliot is typing…
Elliot: So… yeah I have no idea either but you're damn lucky
Simon laughed. “Well I did consider it. But you’re welcome.” He was just put more at ease because it seemed Astral didn’t have any other reason to be here except to just talk. And he was…kind of okay with that.
Kye is typing…
Kye: no kidding. she's pretty scary when angry…
Astral had to admit, he was surprised by how okay he was with this. He had never thought it would be okay to just sit down and talk with Simon, never thought they would ever get to that point again. And yet, here they were. Know knew it would take even more drama for them to do this.
Elliot is typing…
Elliot: I didn't think she had any other mood than angry if I'm being honest
I mean Astral’s still not allowed within five feet of Simon and Simon wouldn’t trust him with anything whatsoever. But talking was just fine.
Still, five feet was better than five hundred. Astral was just glad to be let into the same room as him.
"I am glad Mother took care of the situation Derlik and Marcos had," The god noted.
Kye is typing…
Kye: oh yeah, she can be really nice actually. she gives good hugs too :D
“Yeah me too, that was really scary. I thought Wren was dead for sure.” Simon commented
Elliot is typing…
Elliot: That's… surprising
Marcos is typing…
Marcos: Wait you get hugs
"I thought Derlik and Marcos were too, even before Mother showed up. Those two have killed each other before." Astral let out a breath, shaking his head.
"Derlik should have never touched Wren like that, either."
“That honestly doesn’t surprise me. They sound like they wouldn’t get along.” Simon said with a soft sigh. He felt bad for the other souls who actually had to deal with them all the time.
(Aha everyone thinks everyone else got stuck with the worst of the gods-)
"They really don't, at all," Astral agreed. "Derlik's always at everyone's throats."
((Omg yeah lol))
“Even yours?” Simon asked out of curiosity. He didn’t think so, just because he’d never seen any of the other gods here.
"We have an agreement- I let him do whatever he likes, and he doesn't mess with me. He doesn't always stick to it, but he usually does." Astral shrugged some, then shook his head.
"Plus Mother would kick my ass in particular if I hurt him."
“Well it’s good that he follows it most of the time.” He just had a feeling he wouldn’t like the god of chaos. “Oh why’s that?” He asked.
Even Mia was intrigued by this bit.
"Well… it's a long story," Astral admitted. "You know how Mother made all the gods, right?"
“Yeah I know that part.” Simon said, settling down a bit. He had a feeling this was going to be a very long story.
"Well… there were originally six. Me, Marcos, Celeste, Halm, Serna, and Fale." Astral sighed softly. "And Derlik… started out as a human."
“He did?” He asked, honestly very surprised by that fact. “So what happened?” He was now pretty invested in hearing the rest of the story.
"I tried to Claim him," Astral admitted softly. "I wanted to take care of a kid. Mother, though… she was having none of it. She knew I was inclined to… hurting others, and she wasn't going to let me lay a finger on the child."
“Oh well that makes sense I guess. Would you have hurt him?” He asked curiously, trying to convince himself that this wasn’t hitting way too close to home.
